Damn the Datensichtstation looks ancient indeed. It's not actually NIB, it only came on a shipping box but the item itself is new aside from a few scratches. Now I feel sorry for taking the board apart ;D

seebart - The mineral oil I used probably works, it's pretty thin and won't spoil like cooking oil.

need - These switches have an open design (the sliders and springs are entirely out in the open) so water can't be stuck inside. I would definitely rethink if it's a PCB with Cherry MX switches.

Seebart: Yes it's a stand, though it's definitely not as good as the spherical rubber feet. The feet make a great angle and make the board utterly nonslippery on the table. What do you use to lube the switches btw, is it silicone lube? XMIT: Yes I could fix it by soldering Pause/Break or the key bes...

RAFI B6-C keyboard

Photos for a lovely board I got from XMIT last month. Thank again XMIT! RAFI Hall effect switches: https://deskthority.net/wiki/RAFI_RS_76_C (white slider variant) Linear switch. It's not really the smoothest switch in my opinion; the lack of stabilizer on its moderately long keys (Ctrl, Backspace, ...

Oh, nice, did you get these from seebart? The kind of corrosion reminds me of something I know... If you like to sell one of them or leftover flippers in the future, I'm interested. Just saying, battlecruisers aren't necessarily smaller in size and tonnage than a battleship ;) They just have thinner armor and more engine power to emphasize speed.

Model F switch life references?

The claim is 100 million keypresses on the DT wiki, it's likely that this came from some documentation, but where? I can't find it in either the article or the patents. Scholars please :ugeek:

There is an outfit in Calif that has Model Fs that are missing caps, extremely dirty, no cables, etc. Untested and prob non-working. And they still wanted $100 each for them. Doesn't paypal already offer protection? it's inclined to buyers in the same way (and run by ebay for a long time, too).

In the end ebay also runs on ads, and when direct bank transfer/local pickup is available it can't tap into sales money anyways.

Everyone in their right mind wants that model. The buyer was correct to ask the seller if they wanted to cheat eBay out of a cut. That's business. Dirty and effective. FeeBay is dirty as is. Not like it is entitled to that money anyway... I think all the better if the seller can reach an agreement ...

Now that I think about it, the glorious F ping is still better than the thunk of Beam. (Again, not smoothness-related) I don't get that ping on every button though, the number row on my F122 seems to be the best area for that, even better than the F50 or the NIB XT I have. Maybe it's just me, or pos...

Seebart - I think my 122 F is fairly free of dust. I can't see any on its barrels, maybe a bit of cotton swabs and/or lube could improve it. Thanks a lot µrium! That's some dedication. Yes the pre-buckle and post-buckle smoothness is entirely different in my observation as well. It's most likely due...

It definitely should IMO. It is usually pressed by your thumbs and they aren't as flimsy compared to your other fingers (I hope so...)

So, a MX black spacebar for a MX red board, or a MX green spacebar for a MX blue board.
