Why not just revert the keyboard design? It isn't like the key feel was good in the first place due to the short travel. Adding the contamination shield will shorten the travel distance even more. You don't 'own' a Macbook 2015+, you borrowed one. They can't just put the old keyboard into the new c...

Because if they move it from wherever iMav is hosting it to the same place that massdrop.com is hosted, it will be effectively free to them. Free to run, but they just spent tens of thousands of dollars to buy it remember? Massdrop's business model is basically printing money, they profit indirectl...

Point of clarification: MassDrop plans to support GH financially, but has no interest in "running" it administratively (they are leaving that to the existing admins/mods). The cynics among you can call this a misleading lie on the part of Will Bright, but I'm taking a hopeful, if not optimistic, wa...

Man, from my original read of the thread i got the feeling that iMav wasn't making the best decisions. This really solidifies it. Like, seriously. A patreon would cover 300/mo without any challenge. Given GHs demographic, most of them probably already have a patreon and are sending out modest amount...

Mouse navigation via an FN layer like on the Ducky Mini would be good. If it's implemented well (no idea if this is easy or not) it works really well and is more intuitive than a trackball or a trackpoint IMO. Also if you're going to go low profile switches, commit fully and go khail low profile PG1...

There are a bunch of new low profile switches, mostly from khail. khail has in the past year or so really gotten past the funk they were in when the cherry patents first expired and are now actually doing good stuff. Ugh. If they asked nicely, someone would probably just give them all the designs they need.

But no, they insist they're still working on it themselves. Cheap bastards. They could make a killing selling F flippers for FSSK and FEXT mods, but they don't even do stuff like that.

They are in a serious need of a re-tooling. Not just retooling but attention to details and quality control. And willingness to innovate a bit. Arguably Model M keyboards are not designed for gaming so it would be silly to garnish them with multicolor lights, but a volume knob would not be a bad id...
