Re: Doubleshot Replacements Round 4 / taking orders!

This GB may have been a little too ambitious and probably should have been split into multiple GB's. There is also the possibility of tax implications when dealing with such large sums of money.

Ok. So instead of taking a dense purple sleeve you mix a dense red and a **** (can't find the opposite of dense) blue cable and mix them? Despite of the double material cost and double work, exactly what hidden advantages are there? I hope you don't feel offended, I am just curious ;) No your good ...

Hm, IMO, you've done great work sleeving them, but, no offense to you, the sleeves look awful. Some are so bad they look like a garden fence. Especially the last one, you can see the original cable just too good which is bad. He used techflex to purposely show off the custom sleeving. That is not "...

Also I get a lot of people asking why there is so much shrink wrap on the mini ends and the reason is because they are made to be flexible so that you don't need angled cords :)

Custom USB cables (whisker)

After some people expressed interest I started making some cables for people on GH. I figured it was time to show some of my work over here at DT so here are a couple pi...

Sooo, any updates? Like on that heavy control 8-) ? No, I have kind of been taking a break from molding and casting so that I could make some cables. I have been trying to raise money to go to DEFCON in Vegas so this has been my new venture http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?29344-Whisker-s-Custom-...

I wonder if you can dye it as well. Also I wonder how malleable the material is as well since some of the undercuts in the mold are so tiny.

You need to cover the table more. Silicone can be really vile; hard to get off. Urethane can be very hard to remove from wood because it seeps in. Yes, I found that out the hard way. Although for the most part when the resin drys it comes right off pretty much anything. Still a pain though. Those l...

I had never heard of that until you posted about it. After a quick google search I see how this material could be beneficial. Although it looks like it may be hard to manipulate especially because I lack any basic sculpting abilities lol.
