One of these turned up in a collection for sale near me. It's a bit too exotic for me and it likely won't be super cheap, but if someone here really wants it I'm happy to facilitate a deal.

The front page of the website ( https://www.modelfkeyboards.com ) says "2/29/24 please have your orders in by then!" Does this date apply to orders for the F122? Thank you for this! It makes me happy knowing that the black covering is potentially original. The black finish and the missing piece in the bottom case will be professionally repaired in the future. I will once again look inside the case for that date stamp in case I missed it. The only pictures I...

Re: Model F angle and curvature?

Magnificent, thank you! So for the Model M it’s 171mm wide and 12.5mm high, so it subtends an angle of 33° and has a radius of curvature of 300mm, or 11.8 inches (35 barleycorns or shoe size 12 for Chyros’s leftpondian fans). The bigger angle is not too surprising because it has to cover the F key r...

Ok good. Just a last question, can they print on the spacebar? I expect No but I never asked directly. If the answer is no I have an alternative (remap the menu key and use it as a second spacebar with the proper pictograms printed). Their holiday is probably between September 29 and October 6. Doesn’t seem likely.

If you have access to a printer, you should be able to throw a few guesses at it and trial and error your way to where you want to be.

Here's rough idea of how keys will be placed inside the keyboard. perspective-view.png The bolt holes are countersunk M2.5, screwed into threaded spacer from both sides. There are 29 of them, to prevent drop damage (just the plates will weigh about a kilogram) and add some rigidity (not that 1.5mm s...

Re: Micro Switch SW Keyboard Module

I would certainly value it under $300 considering it is just the module and missing a few keys but what a great save and these early SW series switches are hard to come by these days

Considering inflation the 29.75 would have been much better spent in the stock market ;)

That's a sweet picture! Maybe she was the one selling them for "$29.75 ea." Here's the typing video I promised. I tried to capture a few variations to give a good idea of what it sounds like in person. I kind of suck at making these but I think the sound came through good enough. 0jWzFw5ePZM

Re: 3.3V device with PS/2 interface

If you're powering your board through the barrel connector, one option is to use a splitter to tap +5v at that point. I presume you're using a PS/2 PMOD or suchlike, which I further presume you'd have to modify. If you do go down that route, be aware that if the keyboard you're using has pullup resi...
