Ouch, that's unfortunate I've had luck with epoxy on stems before (when modding cherry mx caps lock stems) But honestly, sellers are responsible for items getting to you safely. Return it to him/her and get a refund, then buy it again once they have done a perfect job with an epoxy fix preferably fo...

Other than the layout, I get the impression that the Model F pretty much had everything better than the Model M. Tread carefully my friend, once you've used a Model F you won't be able to use a Model M again so only cross that threshold if your wallet is capable of doing so (and acquiring spares). ...

IMO there are no real advantages of beamspring over model f. The downsides of beamsprings are huge though, bad layouts, incredibly bad ergonomics and high pric...

I think the biggest difference is that Cherry MY boards are not regularly labelled the best keyboards of all time. It could be warped on one side? Use a heatgun or hair dryer and try straighten it out. Or try install it while the plastic is hot, it should be more forgiving.

What did he get wrong specificly? Doesn't the model M use a membrane? Yes, but using a membrane isn't the one defining feature of "mechanical" vs. "non-mechanical". There are RD keyboards that use a PCB, but that doesn't make them mechanical. Also, Linus never said Lexmark only made rubberdomes. He...

I love most of his videos to be honest, his server videos, office moving vlogs, and scrapyard wars series are really entertaining. He's just not a keyboard enthusiast like Thomas is.
At least Linus is getting the Model Ms name out there more as they deserve more appreciation
