Also a newbie.

Yes, there are adapters for those. I think some calls them "Soarer's Converter" but I'm not too sure on that.
I think the telephone jack is a terminal connector. I think.

idk can somebody else help this person?

Bought a Beamspring keychain just to test buying things with a Visa gift card. This thing is awesome, but man! the switch is VERY loud! Much louder than what I imagined. Looks awesome too.

I hope the 3rd round is coming out soon. I wish these comes with blanks too. (A custom dye-sub on these will be awesome!)

EDIT: 3rd Round, apparently.

I was also thinking about a wood case, reading from other threads. Of course, the type of wood would vary the sound greatly. Good idea?

How would one make a very deep-sounding plate?

I got into thinking of putting a keyboard to the extremes (shower thoughts) and I came up with making a keyboard sound very deep, but not quiet. Of course, the switches and the caps do most of the work, but I was just thinking about the plate. How would one create/modify a plate (maybe the case too)...

I'm turning 16 next month.

I'd expected more of my generation, to be honest.

It's a bit weird for me to know that I'm younger than most people here, but at least I'm surrounded with mature (and nice) people, which is always a good thing.

Ebay with Visa gift cards?

I was going to buy some items off of ebay that I really want (keyboards and some other things ;) ). However, I don't have any credit cards nor will I use my parents' (don't want them to check the price of some of these items xd). With the little research I did apparently Visa gift cards work in ebay...

Apple IIgs Keyboard in auction. Not sure which type of switch between Orange and Salmon.
(Or even SMK Tactile, the lable looks kinda weird) https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/h321363971

EDIT: This is most likely to be the Orange Alps type, judging by the label in the back.

Making cheap "double"-shot keycaps?

I wonder if you can make cheap double-shot keycaps by carving a letter off of a blank keycap, maybe CNC router it (so there's a hole in the cap) (ABS lets out toxic fumes when lasered, or so my little research says) and then fill the gap with some other plastic (was thinking some dyed hot glue). San...

The 3 Yellow ALPS switch choices in Taobao

There's 3 choices of yellow ALPS switches in Taobao. One, with the LED hole, seems to be SKCL. The other two seems to not have any holes for LEDs. I bought 1 of the 2 choices remaining, the one with ~222K switches in stock, and it seems to be SKBM Yellow ALPS without LED holes. Does anybody know wha...

That's why I'm thinking of making my own case (and plate too). Montereys have similar characteristics as Alps clicky switches, so the ideal cases for both types of switches should have similar characteristics. Just for more info, I might use Monterey switches for this keyboard, or rather, the MX mount one. It's easier to find caps that way. I might also hand-wire my keyboard.

The ideal Alps cases? :-|

Was thinking about making my own case for my 1st keyboard. (Cheap.) I searched around, and found out that some cheaper cases makes the switches sound deeper and better. I don't know what those characteristics are, so I'd like to ask. What types of cases makes the Alps switches better?

Alps SKCL/M and SKBL/M parts compatibility?

I was just curious, but which parts of Alps SKCL/M are compatible with SKBL/M and vise versa? This includes the stem and the housing also. I'm in no rush (not building anything with this information at the moment), and, again, I was just curious. If possible, please also compare the Alps' parts with...
