The G80-8113's we got before were made in the same year. I haven't even tried any of the Cherry tools software yet; I should probably do that :-) I just asked for a quote on 10 boards just to get a ballpark price. He has 40+ available; I doubt there will be any issue of him selling them all. Cherry...

I suspect it was the QF rapid, as it has a removable controller. I don't have any of the "other" CM keyboards, but I don't believe they have one. There were two CM reps at GH, if I recall correctly. Battlesheep was the first, and CMcarter (I think) came later. {If it's a QF rapid} I would recommend ...

I can't think of what I'd use them for. Ideally, I'd just grab 110 springs to make my clears (on the way) into ERGO-clears, but aftermarket springsa re only available from Korea :( The other option is to get a super cheap TVS Gold keyboard, and just use the springs from that. Of course if I turn my ...

If there are any extras of these, I'd love a kit. I happened to acquire a Wyse set, which is currently being used on my Ghetto Gaming Keyboard, which is a Cherry G80-8113 with Ghetto Reds that I originally bought as a harvest board. Cherry...8113...ghetto reds.... Suddenly I know where all the blac...

We didn't offend you whatsoever, not in the slightest visible way. We just pointed out, this post is unnecessary. Calling us jerks on the other hand is quite insulting. Especially if you come to a foreign forum where the vibes might be different. I am sorry, but this resembles so much the sterotype...

As for people on OCN reinstalling Windows, the fact that a few preemptively decided to reinstall their OS, on a forum where doing so is commonplace for many users, does not say much. Yes, since my earlier post I have found two references to folks reinstalling windows in the threads related to geekh...

I like how he says that upon opening the keyboard, you'll find some sort of "circuit sheet" (membrane).

I really like it! It's pretty clever, using that fourth row for an extra enter, as well as F11 and F12. I like the position of tilde and escape.

Do you have the keys mapped as a more "normal" ten key software-side, or do you just do without (like many of the TKL fans) ?

Yep: I'm probably going to put O-rings on my reds, so the only noise is from "top out". Although I'm getting pretty good at not bottoming out (that's the benefit from using mechanicals for so long) I still do sometimes. I always keep a spare keyboard (or several) handy, for just such an occasion. Th...

I used an IBM 1390401 that we had had for ages. I think I was about 5 when we got it (It was older than I am). I took it with me when I went to college, when I really got into mechanicals.

To this day, I use a unicomp more than any other keyboard.
