I'd argue that only dumb peple say that - considering that music is 100% subjectively

If you type a lot of Italian I would really think twice. The US international layout is neat because you can type all kinds of accented letters, but then again it requires multiple keystrokes for those instead of single presses. The 2000 words per day you mentioned aren't that much, many of us who t...

I know the Microsoft Arc and it felt terrible to me and caused me major fatigue. I'd use Bucking Springs and MX Black switches over those any time. I think the problem with them is, that they require too much force to actuate but have a very small key travel so you HAVE to hammer them to make sure n...

Today was a good day... but to be honest, I can't strict touch type. To me it only was important that I was able to type without looking at the keyboard and with a low error rate. I could not care less whether I am using the proper fingers 100% of the time. http://10fastfingers.com/speedtests/genera...

If they really happen to be lost I could help you put together a new set.
I have a couple of spare G80 PCBs and could throw in some switches (black, blue, clear, ergo clear).

The lb/lbs is actually latin :P
(Yeah I checked Wikipedia..)

It's a short for "libra" which is "scale" and most of the times used in plural (lbs).

Kickstarter: HashKey - most cringeworthy "keyboard" ever

Some guys are trying to kickstart the "HashKey" which is nothing but a hash # key. What makes it cringeworthy to me is that they make the #-key look like it's called hashtag and that it's only ever used for hashtags :( Have they never seen any rc-files? :| >> People are always asking us "where's the...

I like the convenience and precision of digital, and it just seems fitting really. Maybe it's just something you have to get used to, but a digital clock is only logical to me. Seeing and parsing numbers is a basic skill that's used and trained more often every day than reading an analog clock (esp...

I used TypingWeb.com to finally learn touch typing and I now reach up to 115 WPM with ~98% accuracy. If I don't "try hard" I reach ~100WPM with ~99% accuracy.

There is also Tipp10 which comes with both a native and a web application.

Thanks for persisting with this, Matt. Obviously talks are still in progress, but right now were they talking about just one colour? I'm sure many people would be willing to get 2+ considering that space is the most used key and there probably won't be another chance to get a PBT Topre space bar anytime soon.

I'd definitely buy 4 (or more) as long as they fit my HHKB :D
But still, that MOQ is huge...

EDIT: Muirium, as always, was faster. OK another Question: Why can't I simply cut them with a sharp knife? You'd probably damage the switches (not severly, but scratches etc). After all, you'd have to cut through the wires of the leds. I guess most people here will agree that desoldering is, by far,...

They look cool! How did you manage to amplify them? They're good old fashioned speakers, shouldn't be too hard. Bonus points for a vintage amp with glowing tubes… Yep, indeed. No tube amplifier though.. The speakers have a power rating of 65W and I drive them with a 25 year old Kenwood amp (KA-3020...
