Hello ShivaYash. Thank you for sharing your experiences of the Bluetooth HHKB. I am very interested in this keyboard. I enjoy this layout and I am happy to have it available in a wireless form. Would you be able to share more photos of this keyboard in use? It is hard to find lots of user photos of...

Realforce springs - adds to the actuation force?

Hello all, Would changing out the springs on an electro-capacative keyboard, like the Realforce or HHKB, make any difference? I'm finding the 104 HiPro I have for work to be a little too light. I've seen someone on eBay UK selling 20g springs... but I was always under the impression that it was the ...

I'm late to this thread, a lot has already been said. Glad to read that others are also shocked at the prices being sought for these sets, as pretty as they are. I have the 104Hi-Pro has my work keyboard and can confirm its lovely to type on. The best value SA set I can find is that offered by Filco...

Re: Hi-Profile PBT Dye-sub (the time has come)

I really want to join this drop. I’d like the keys for a FC660M. Any advice on the best kit(s) I should order would be much appreciated. Base kit, regular mods, and extra mods - that last one will cover you for the right shift and left Win keys, which are the only two unusual sizes. You might get i...

Mailcall - Leopold FC660M (Cherry MX Greens)

Hallo chaps, Just got my hands on this little beauty. The layout is super, I've had the Topre version previously but got rid of it as I preferred my HHKB. Being a SSK user at home and Topre hi-pro at work, I am finding the Greens nice and firm, with their mouse like clicks. Of course time will tell ...

Wall mount for MKBs?

Hello, Has anyone considered wall mounting their boards? I have a new study with more space, and am minded to get some IKEA MOSSLANDA shelves to give it a go. I don't swap out my boards too much these days, daily driver at home is the IBM SSK but I'd like to wall mount my HHKB BT, and maybe the RF 8...

Keyboard roof - Topre 104UG HiPro

Dear all,

I am after a keyboard roof for my office keyboard. Something that simply rests on the casing after a hard days work versus a hinged item.

I've had no luck searching the internet, maybe someone here can assist.

With best wishes,

No worries. I started with MX Browns, I still have that board, then went to Blues, then got into IBM BS, then Topre and now I have a few boards I use in different locations. Welcome to DT, its a friendly place.

I am currently typing on my HHKBPro2BT.

Karabiner-Elements

Am I the only one sadden by the demise of Karabiner? I am not happy with the elements version at all. Although I am not a power user, I am just a typist with a Mac, I liked modding the private file and getting my KBs set up just how I liked. Unless I am being thick... chances are that I am, I can't ...

Re: Keycaps - PBT vs ABS

I hear this excuse all the time, but it doesn't make any sense to me. Why should shrinkage affect the ability to produce large PBT keys? Surely manufacturers can simply account for the shrinkage in their measurements. If the underlying reason is, as I suspect, that the shrinkage is random and unpre...

Keycaps - PBT vs ABS

Dear all, Why do most, if not all KB manufactures, high-end stuff, TOPRE et al, provide PBT spacebars? Is this particular key tricky to produce in PBT versus ABS? I have purchased some PBT spacebars for my various KBs from MassDrop but until now did not question why they don't just come with. With t...

The dark, gray, industrial aesthetic of the 104UG was just too depressing for me, which is why I went for the more retro-styled 104UK. Really? That is a shame as I think it looks great. My 87u is that colour scheme which is nice. Which market did you get your 104UK from? I can't see it in the EU/UK.

Re: New office KB

Yeah, the lack of Topre-compatible keycap sets is a major drawback to standard Topre keyboards, IMO. I wouldn't ever want to be limited to what can be harvested from some other Topre keyboard. That's why I only use the Realforce RGB. I’m a typist not a gamer. But I agree. Sent from my iPhone using ...

Re: New office KB

Will the hi pro caps fit onto my 87u? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk They fit on HHKB's so I don't see why not. I'm trying to find some Hipro caps at the moment as well to put on my pro 1, buying two hipro keyboards both JIS and ANSI just to get a hipro hhkb would be very expensive. If you find...
