Yaay! A keyboard club!

Seriously though, I like the idea of establishing a club. Spending a lot of time in circles of German hackerspaces loosely associated with the CCC I like "Vereine".

Well, that's only because they don't want to guarantee uptime, so they can't get sued if something happens. Hetzner has a great customer support from what I experienced and heard from others. I've read one report of somebody who had a mainboard failure on his root server. Between the creation of the...

Re: Deskthority hosting

I have a server at Hetzner. They were recommended as one of the most reliable hosters in Germany by a couple of guys in our hackerspace.

I thought that the Hall effect is basic knowledge… (all our physics courses were taught about...

Pad printing on G84 keyboards can be very bad. I have two G84-4100, the padprinted one has very worn down legends. The color of this keyboard reminds me of the dyesubbed G84-4100 SPAUS keyboards which surfaced some time ago. They were winkeyless and they mostly look the same. I would thus suspect th...

I currently have a chin beard (there's a reason I use this avatar on a different forum). I'd like to grow a full beard, but I think I lack the required density. I only got the courage to grow this beard out from not being able to shave after a bike crash.

yeah, I won't come. Couldn't afford it. It'd have costed me 75€ to come to Bonn, and the same amount to get back home. That's not really affordable to me now.

Peter: Most of the Danish power outlets I've seen look like this: http://www.interpower.com/ic/wp-content/uploads/e_denmark.jpg But maybe older outlets don't have the ground contact. Here in Germany these are the only power outlets you'll find in walls: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/...

I'll chime in with the others. Learning a different layout from ground up, without being able to look at the keys helped me a lot. My typing isn't what some here might consider really fast (80 WPM), but it has definitely improved a lot since I switched to Neo. I feel uncomfortable when typing QWERTZ...

I can totally understand your remarks about the variable weight of the Realforce. When I tried the Realforce from 002 I had a similar experience. To me the problem wasn't only the different weight, but also the different feeling of the switches. The light switches felt much more "mushy" than the hea...

Well, I usually use my Kensington Orbit trackball, which I can very well operate with both hands. But using a mouse in the left hand is difficult, but that might be because my mouse is not ambidextrously designed.

Does anyone know a good way to buy one from Europe? I don't want to buy it from EK, why would the board need to be shipped to the US, only to send to Europe.
I might currently have the financial ability to buy one of these.
