I've got a few linears available in the forthcoming keyboard sales. Hopefully I manage to send one your way. I have several keyboards in the garage that look just like the one above, except filthy! These early boards look very much like old Keytronics. They are essentially identical from the front....

Just popped on tonight and this thread was here to greet me...what a delight!! Finally we may get some answers to some questions!! Also great to see all these nice boards being presented. I'm in the middle of photographing and cataloging all my NMB/HiTek boards with hopes of fleshing out the Wiki a ...

Upload multiple images at once
I just started contributing to the wiki, and am planning on adding many images in the future. Is there any way to upload multiple images as once? For a given keyboard, I usually have 10-15 images. On the mediawiki site, I saw this extension https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MultiUpload not su...

I was curious, so I compared a white (one square eye linear) to the yellows from the Kroy. Here are the photos. Sorry, I don't have a proper macro... yellow-vs-white.jpg yellow-vs-white-springs.JPG Both use 0.22mm wire (measured with calipers). From the photos, they have the same number of turns, bu...

my yellow is much heavier than white lol I haven't spent anytime typing on the board, and my ability to subjectively determine spring constant by pressing a single key is poor. It very well could be yellows are stiffer. I need to do a more quantitative comparison. I also wonder if all the various w...

Well, that's exciting, I'm glad it went to a good home! I did have to replace the space bar and one of the keys in the right cluster before sending it to you. So, one of those keys may be wrong. Keep the photos coming! :-) I'm pretty sure the Esc/Break key is not original :D There are more photos o...

I am glad to see it went to a good home! I never looked closely enough to realize it has a built-in computer. Does everything still work? The non-yellowed areas above the keys used to say "Not for Classified Use". This came from military surplus in about 1998 or so. I haven't tinkered with it too m...

Kroy 190: Yellow Space Invaders and a Z80
The Kroy 190 is one of the more unusual boards I picked up from XMIT's ongoing Keypocalypse . It was originally part of the Kroy 190 Lettering System, an industrial tape label printing system from the late 80's. The system consists of two parts; a keyboard unit and a tape label printer. The keyboard...

Here is the response from SP: We noticed that too, unfortunately we had to bring in a new lot of OBC to run this order and that is the color it came in at. There is always color variation from lot to lot with resin production and this unfortunately was in the OBC window but on the far end of the acc...
