Re: F104+SSK+122+62+77+50+Ergo orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
The problem I have is that holding shift (or any other modifier) on one side doesn't activate it on the other. In the instructions, I see something about a workaround involving numlock state? I'm not sure if this is supposed to address the issue, but if so, I'm not sure how to make use of it. I'm u...

Re: F104+SSK+122+62+77+50+Ergo orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
Hello I am getting some ghosting.. That is, while typing, extra characters or the volume button gets activated etc.. Usually, this is because the solder joints on the PCB are contacting the back of the case.. I have taped it up with that clear brown tape used to prevent electrical shorts.. But no lu...

Hello My F77 has started to spam or ghost.. That is, I get extra key presses. I have added tape (I can't recall the name, but a clear-ish brown tape) over the solder joints on the back of the PCB.. As well as anything metal like the screws etc.. But I am still getting them. I haven't been able to lo...

Heavy Switches Used on X68000 Keyboard
When I got my DSETK0023CE03 keyboard with my X68000 I noticed that the BREAK and COPY keys were much heavier than the other switches (which is also true of some other Alps boards). While looking up information on the PCB I found this site which shows the entire keyboard disassembled which reveals so...

Re: IBM Model F with Nordic layout (Danish)
I don't know if this will ever happen honestly, but I kind of feel like I've lost the motivation to go further with my keyboard hobby. It didn't last long and it may return, but for now I have everything I could possibly want from a keyboard. I got a couple artisan keycaps, some nice gear (switch pu...

Re: How can I tell if an IBM Model F 122 keybaord has missing keys?
My hope is that my Keyboard Directory will help with such questions in the future but it's still a WIP. There are only 4 unique F122s currently in it (can search "F122" to see them) but I'll work on them this evening so more may appear shortly. But in lieu of that, you're welcome to post a photo of ...

Positively superlative! :ugeek: Do you also keep a serial number database for these user-submitted boards, or am I thinking of someone else? Actually, I think it was you: :D https://sharktastica.co.uk/topics/kb_birth_certs I can't remember if I submitted my own small collection, including this Kishs...

Re: Help with xwhatsit and IBM Model F AT
Are you sure your controller is 32u4? As I recall, all of Xwhatsit's original controllers—including the one I installed in my AT—are 32u2. The chip makes a difference. Their hex files are incompatible. As I recall, I laid out my AT based on this starting point in Pandrew's configurator: http://35.16...

sensy do you have any more details on your mod? Does the caps lock provide a second layer for both halves? I am not sure. Yes, both num lock and caps lock (and scroll lock but I’m generally scared of that function for reasons) activate separate layers for both halves. There’s also no reason why you...

I've been using my Split Ortho F for a bit, but couldn't quite get it to behave the way I wanted it to - I basically wanted two different momentary layers, so the current NumLock thing wasn't quite enough. I cobbled together a QMK-profile for the boards using wolfman's F62 profile (and the src-files...

I want to be a nuisance to others in the office. Nah I'm just kidding. I just put a lot of F-keys in the two leftmost blocks for now, and blank keys in the numpad split positions while I'm considering the layout. Any ideas for wha...

Thank you so much for the information. I hadn't come across that page yet. I did manage to find out how to control the other LEDs though! I decided to brute force it last night. Having experienced repeating keystrokes while using the Model F that has been "in rotation" for a few years, I pulled in my most convenient backup, a Northgate Omnikey 101, and have been using it for a couple of weeks. It is a very nice keyboard but I sorely missed the "extra" keys that I programmed...

My favorite Model F 122-key has developed an impossible case of repeatingggggggggg certain keyssssssssss.
