Yup, an AT-101 plate can be modified to fit those two additional switches. I did that on my build:

The size, feel and software integration are what makes Apple's multitouch trackpads not only a decent pointing device, but a great one. I used to hate trackpads with a passion (and still do for those tiny, plasticky one on most laptops) but I like Apple's enough that I use a Magic Trackpad as my mai...

Having converted an ISO QFR to ANSI, I can confirm that the QFR's solder pads are easily lifted. I did manage to damage two pads to the point where I needed to patch it. I also considered grabbing a Razer to replace the switches with some MX' I have lying around, but after reading this, I think I'll...

There's a option in the shipping address drop down that says that no shipping address is required. That'd make it a service payment. You can add the message on the next step before confirming the payment.

I watched him do the job, while he was telling me how easy surface mount stuff is. Didn't look like it! He's definitely in the same club as Xwhatsit and all the other SMD guys: "if you can solder through hole components, then surface mount is a sinch!" No, it's really not… I got hasu's 60% Alps PCB...

I've made a a recording of me first typing "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" and then mashing keys. For reference, I've also recorded me doing the same an a QuickFire Rapid with MX Black and thick PBT keycaps. The forum won't let me upload audio files, so I zipped them together. Now that...

Just picked the Realforce up and typing this on it. First impressions:

- Much heavier than it looks, feels very sturdy.
- A lot of rattling, even on the 1U keys
- Good thing I don't really use Caps lock and there's no Num Lock on Mac because I hate blue LEDs with a passion

My preferred method of cleaning keycaps is to give them a warm bath with denture tabs for a few hours, rinse them, give them a few spins in a salad spinner and let them dry.

Thanks for the compliments! Mine has a Arduino Pro Micro clone stuffed inside with Soarer's converter flashed. How are XT's better made then AT's? I personally think the AT has the best layout as it is somewhat modernized if you know what I mean? The other layouts I guess would still work but are just slightly unorthodox to me. Ahhhh which layout should I go for??? If you don't mind the size, the F122 is ve...

- Plate, modifiers & space bar from an AT101
- Command (right shift) & arrow down (FN) key from a M0118
- Alpha keys from an Acer rubber dome
- Switches from an AEK2

You can build an adapter with a Teensy or a cheap Arduino Pro Micro clone and TMK firmware . The converter can be either put in an external box. If you don't have an ADB cable around, it uses the same connector as S-Video. Or you can put the converter inside the keyboard, there's plenty of space to ...
