Thank you very much Hypershpere for all this investment, it is something we can take profit of, and these things have to be paid, my opinion. I already bought two units of the most expensive keyboards on the earth, if I want to improve them with silencing pads I again want them to be the best. Obvio...

Guess again. The M2 is very different to earlier, more expensive designs of buckling spring. The best is Model F, which is smooth and light, and very noisy! Model M is in the middle. And M2 is a pale imitation of its ancestors. Nice, in a way, but you've correctly identified its major flaw. Mh.. in...

They're all good. 30g surprised me: it's so nice! But I'm an HHKB lover, and opinion clearly differs on this. If you want a real contrast, though, get a buckling spring. I like to Topre - SSK - Topre - Model F. That way the differences are really sharp and I get a lot of that first time feel you me...

With this said I have no other path than having to start again with Topre switch and test all its variants :'( . that's going to be an expensive test, I'm sure you have seen this: http://deskthority.net/try-f29/the-realforce-euro-tour-round-4-t10148-150.html#p247088 Sure it will be. I already own a...

It is curious for me reading other opinions about Topre switch. I remember my first impresion of the switch when I first tested my 45g Realforce. When I inmediately started writing with it, within the first keystrokes, my impression was something like "omg this is is georgeously amazing", and it act...

I have enjoyed your video really, and as other says, we all go the same route. I first played with second hand or findind old keyboards here and there, but eventually did the jump and start buying expensive keyboards and going directly to what I wanted to try. I am about to get my third expensive bo...

Yes, right, looking at the wiki there are not any 35g, only 30g. Maybe 30g is too light as you point, trying the 55g will let me rest in peace from this pain  @Murium: I use a window manager where every alphanumeric key is a virtual desktop, one of the modifiers is to move between virtual deskt...

Reading your comments I feel I may end just selling the 55g. The 45g is almost perfect on the force required to press the keys. Well, maybe I may end trying all of them, 35g, 45g and 55g. What a mixture of feelings  If only I had not bought this JIS one it would be much easier, not only I can'...

I've readen somewhere that Topre springs may overlap in a way you may not realize there are two togheter. I am not afraid of having to invest time in changing domes, I only hope nothing breaks, but I don't think that may happen by watching at the videos. For me Topre 45g is almost quite perfect, so ...

By looking at some photos it don't really get if every key dome is replaceable with another one randomly or there are some domes that are joined to others forming a single plastic piece. Looking carefully again, I can see cleary on Realforce keyboards that each key has a single separated dome, but o...

Oh thank you very much, didn't know.Muirium wrote: ↑Gotta swap the domes. The springs are there for sensing, not for weight.
That explains why I could not find any information. Searching on google by domes instead of springs has very different results.

Swap domes on Realforce
Hi guys, I own a 45g JIS layout Realforce but I think I would enjoy more a 55g one. Topre sells a 55g JIS model but I can't find it anywhere so I've thought about buying a 55g ISO/ANSI one and swap its domes. Do you know if that is something feasible and not too much complicated? By complicated I me...

Thank you SilentNeutrino. If anyone has any doubt about this please ask, I'll be glad to help. Another setting I highly recommend to use on any trackball/mouse is the Wheel emulation. On my slimblade I set it up with: xinput set-prop "Kensington Kensington Slimblade Trackball" "Evdev Wheel Emulation...

Custom actions with mouse/trackball buttons on Linux
Hi guys, I've used xbindkeys on Linux to chain button actions of my trackball to do actions, something similar to layers on keyboard. To explain it, let me put an example: = Press button 8: enter layer 2. ==== Press button 1 in layer 2: "Backward" (ie useful on browser) ==== Press button 3 in layer ...

This thing could dampen also the upstroke not allowing the stem to go all the way up with with some rubber above it.Cherry1990 wrote: ↑I don't see any BIG difference from the "dear old" silicone/rubber o-ring...
Apart from the price, probably ten times or more greater...
I am very curious to see this thing out.

Bigfoot Toshiba branded.
I bought a used Bigfoot Toshiba branded. I bought it for its keycaps hoping those were PBT for my Matias Quiet Pro, and I am quite enjoying these keycaps, much better than the original ABS that comes with the board. I am not sure what could be interesting about it to post on the wiki besides Thosiba...
