Does the joystick work like a trackpoint so that you just need to put pressure in a direction to activate it or do you need to change the angel of the stick? Functionally, it is more like a PSP joystick where it slides sideways, but the amount of travel is pretty small so it sort of feels like a tr...

I haven't started programming mine yet, but I'm planning on adding one of these to my keyboard as a mouse with integrated click: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10835 (I made my own breakout boards through OSHPark for about $1 per board and got the joysticks free as a sample, just had to pay duty)...

You can probably program it as a joystick in the firmware, as both joysticks and keyboards is covered in the HMI standard... Yup, almost like my original suggestion :) This is pretty neat. I feel like the XBOX controller is kind of overkill, though. For those with teensy-like replacement controller...

Another option that avoids doing anything game pad related (but still requires a custom keyboard controller) is to add an "analog" mode to your firmware which ignores the regular keypress action on those analog keys and instead uses the hall effect readings to basically do PWM pulses on the regular ...

This is pretty neat. I feel like the XBOX controller is kind of overkill, though. For those with teensy-like replacement controllers, they could hook the hall effect sensors direct to the teensy and have it act as a dual keyboard/joypad device. This has me tempted to do something like this in my nex...

When I first got my Kinesis, I tried using my triple foot switch, but I found it hard to use with my shoes on (the switches are modded from a teletype or something) and after a couple weeks, they just got shoved to the back of my cubicle, and are now collecting dust on my shelf. The more compelling ...

An HHKB with embedded numpad... that's almost the perfect keyboard. If I could get mine modded into a dual Bluetooth/corded with embedded numpad I'd carry it with me everywhere I went. I'm currently working on a bluetooth mod for my Kinesis right now based on hasu's firmware. If all goes well and t...

I'm currently working with hasu's code to do a bluetooth mod for my Kinesis contoured keyboard. Right now, I'm just trying to get the USB portion working (I think I have the code modified correctly, I just need to wire up my matrix breakout boards). The next step is getting the bluetooth working. Af...
