I use MobileMe for syncing between my Apple stuff. Then I also have an Icy Box 2.5/3.5" HDD caddy that I use as a Time Machine to back up. So I have backups on the cloud and backups in my possession. I could do syncing manually with a lot of fucking around with Linux. But I'm bored of doing that sor...

I wish they'd do a Mac native version of the 356N. But with Cherry blues. It's shame there isn't more of a market for Mac variants. It's made trying to find quality boards for myself particularly bothersome. I know I could just remap the CMD and ALT on Windows boards. But it's not the same. A nice b...

That Macway appears to be the same board as the Datacomp Taiwan DMK96. Any idea who the ODM would be? I'd assume the Macway is a rebranded Datacomp rather than vice versa? The Macway appears to have a shorter right shift than the DMK96, with the up arrow to the right of the right shift, whereas on t...

The Apple keyboards have a large entry on Wikipedia , so when the time comes, I'll probably just plagiarise  the history of and information for those keyboards from the wikipedia site and merge it into one great big Apple/OS X entry. Though I'm sure collectively we can expand greatly on the inf...

Keyboards for Mac...
Alright chaps, I've been looking around for keyboards that are native to mac and/or OS X. The intention is to compile a substantial list that can be included in the wiki at a later date when we've got a good list. Old, new, mechanical, membrane, doesn't matter. I'd especially like to see what our fa...

Matias Dvorak
Just came across this while searching for mech Mac keyboards. Anyone know anything about it? Particularly what switches it is using.

OTD.kr
Are OTD.kr now requiring you be signed up to their site to browse the album? I've just gone to have a look, had a moon rune popup and then was directed to a login page. I can still browse the photo album on KBDmania.net, but it's slooooow.

I go through stints of reading a lot and then not reading anything for a while. Before Christmas I read William Gibson's Sprawl and Bridge trilogies. Then Burning Chrome, which are his shorts. After Christmas I read his Bigend trilogy (it was a Christmas present). I bought myself a Kindle not long a...

I didn't say that.instantkamera wrote: Yes, and because the OS is written in assembly, that means no one will write software for it in a higher level language, right?

The out-dated and antiquated languages are also the most efficient in that they're low level. High level is fluff that masks the laziness and ineptitude of those unable to debug low level code. When you run something like MenuetOS you realise how beautiful operating systems could be. You wouldn't ne...

The way I see it, people who bitch about easy-to-learn programming languages are scared of change and want to hang on to something that, as they see it, ensures their employment to maintain some antiquated, out-dated system/software until they finally retire after masking their laziness and ineptit...

I think the black border is to much of an isolating stamp. The grey and white tends to flow naturally into the other. Perhaps instead of throwing everything to the right, you could simply give the user info area a 1 pixel border in a slightly darker grey than than user info background, just to break...

Using Apple wireless keyboard and magic mouse I can tell you that the mouse chews through the batteries much quicker than the keyboard. I might have to replace the batteries on the mouse maybe every 7-10 days. And I turn the mouse off when I'm not using it to try and save juice. The keyboard I don't...
