Re: I Plug In, I Type: Steel Series Apex Pro
Interesting perspective. I think expectations come into this. I wasn't expecting much when I got it but I absolutely love it. Sure, it looks like a gaming keyboard, sure the caps could be better but the feel imo is unparalleled. These are my fav linear bar none.

Re: A little help, please
not too hard to make one.
Here's a guide to make one for the Model F. The process would be the same, just need to find the correct gauge wire with some calipers.

C64 Mini in a floppy drive
Turned my C64 mini into this little thing that I can mount in a 3.5 inch floppy bay.

Re: Unicomp, are you drunk?
I have done this to myself before when bolt modding. It's the worst feeling after having finally reassembled it all. But I've never seen that happen from the factory. I wonder if there's a way to remap it? What's your plan? Send it back? Bolt mod and partial refund? Ask for them to ship you 2 new ke...

Hilarious. You nailed it.Muirium wrote: ↑15 May 2021, 11:15While the E-Type is generally considered a classic among classics, few seem to notice its shocking lack of a spoiler, let alone the suboptimal sound system and questionable cup holders.

Re: Bucking Springs, worth it?
Generally people who like vintage boards aren't into rgb. Generally people who type on AZIO Retros won't be into buckling springs or any of the aesthetic that goes along with it. But if you really want it, there are ways to make it happen.

Then no. Unless you are willing to do the technical work of reprograming a board and installing leds yourself, there is nothing that fits what you're looking for.

Been lusting after this bad boy (the computer, not the model ;) ) So thought I'd post it here. Not sure how this one slipped by til now - this specific photo that is. ftu14zfikb651.jpg Note the original, non-yellowed color. Also, I love the subtlety of the black CMD key. Re: Share Your SEXIEST Vintage Boards!
Your alps plate spring, F122's, F107, and that omnikey are top tier eye candy. You got any more info on the paintjob for your F107? I find it interesting that you chose a gold highlight for the pen holder. Thanks. I know Commodore PC keyboard is an unorthodox choice for this thread but there someth...

I agree completely. I wondered if it was down to the gray primer I used. OG has slightly more sheen too but that could have been solved with another coat or two of satin clear coat.E TwentyNine wrote: ↑12 May 2021, 15:34It looks good but it seems that these color matches always need just a *little* more olive/green, they're too gray.

Wow! I have a Sherwin Williams just up the road, can you share some info so they can mix me up a batch? Sure thing. Just take your industrial M into the store, have them hit it with the light gun and they'll whip up a batch for you. It only comes in gallons. No more custom spray paints unfortunatel...

That is awesome. I love a good desk keyboard. Hoping to build one one day with a glass cover at the level of my desk so I can retain desk functionality while still showing off the board.
