That is awesome! Do you think it might work on a keyboard, too? You probably wouldn't want to paint the caps of course, just the case.

And I'm quite curious why there weren't that many mechanical keyboards that have those huge enter keys, as most rubber domes I've had all had huge enter keys. It might have been country of origin. These days, anyway, many of the mechanicals with the large Enter keys come out of Taiwan (IIRC). It mi...

I didn't believe they were painted either but a rep from Topre told me that "some cases are". I don't think he can speak speak for the HHKB but certainly the Realforce models. As Limmy says, why should it have to be white plastic painted black? There are different colour plastics you know...we have...

I have on good authority that HHKBs are not painted. Why don't you cut through the case and show us the white interior? Are we talking about black HHKB? I will be glad to cut it if you provide me with one. I didn't say they are white plastic painted black. I said they are black plastic finished wit...

I've had that happen using shelf liner. It's the bottom of the 'board; I don't care. If you're using isopropyl on ABS, it isn't paint you see, it's plastic. You may not care about the damages on the bottom, but haven't you considered that others might care? It is a damage that cannot be repaired, a...

I believe those are Acer switches (I can't seem to find a picture right at this moment to verify). They certainly are not ALPS of any variety that I know of, however.

FireFox and IE9 use DirectWrite, not ClearType. DirectWrite is an abortion. In order to have IE9 and FF render "correctly," hardware acceleration needs to be turned off. That's why I use Chrome. On the other hand, you need a certain amount of regulation and socialism to keep individuals' greed and irration...
