Re: Alps Lubricant FOUND!

Excellent work on finding out the definitive lubricants they used! :D I've tried a wide amount of lubes on Alps switches before, including lithium soap ones, silicon oil, krytox, and a whole bunch of others. They didn't help much, or actually made it actively worse. nvDQKUwBy_8 However, I have NOT t...

Teardown - 3D-printed magnetic levitation "Void" switches!

This is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen. Someone 3D-printed magnetic levitation switches with adjustable tactility and travel. Also, it's analog-Hall effect. And hot-swappable. And it's contactless. Jeez! The creator is called Riskable and he called them Void switches and I'm DEFINI...

Re: Vintage Cherry MX Black REDUX review (Micronorth KB-5060?)

Oof! You set that board some stern competition. Stiff is definitely not the right word in this context! Getting done over by both vintage and modern rivals? Ouch. Do love the caps though. Cherry’s doubleshots and dyseubs are timeless, unlike those truly vintage MX blacks. Now to try and forget that...

Hey Chyros: have you ever reviewed Nixies?

(Expects to see self shown right up with Nixies appearing in this very vid. Here’s to hoping! )
...Kinda xD . I reviewed a Nixdorf with a few keys left as Nixies, the rest were substituted MX blacks. Was part of a deal.

But calling someone who disagrees with you an insignificant spec of dirt not worth your time of day is cold. It shows that Chryos doesn't value criticism or the people that watch his videos. I feel like I should address this so as not to create misunderstanding here. What I meant by that is that at...

thinking of picking up one of Unicomp's new Ms just to try it out. Then I might go a little more vintage. Great starting point. If they were making them 10 years ago, I'd have grabbed one for myself and could* have been quite delighted. Compelling price. *Depends how janky it is when hooked up to a...

Re: Micronorth Keyboard

That's not super weird. XT keyboards handled lock lights themselves, because the XT protocol was unidirectional. The computer couldn't tell it what mode it was in, so it just counted the amount of times you pressed the lock lights. It's pretty easy to desync them. What is weird is that it's not work...
