Then you have to buy or build the equipment which is again time or money.

For starters, customs... As it is a community project they should be basicly the same, if I understand it correctly. But I can be wrong, so don't quote me on this.

You can get Leeku, WKL, and Gon PCBs without diodes and resistors soldered to save money. I think it's about a $20 fee they charge to solder them: not cheap! 20$ is cheap, if you're not a very fast and experienced solderer. I can solder and did it a lot in the past, but I am sure I would need a hou...

Seems like it is the chinese Version of the GH60. If you google you find a lot of people asking about problems with it....... but the pros certainly know it better.

Edit: Too late :)

Cherry vs Greetech vs Gateron brown

Hey I am about to order a GH60 and have yet to decide about the switches. I want an non-clicky, tactile switch. Have tried the Cherry MX Clears: liked the bump, but the spring was too heavy for me, as I occassionally like to type light. Also, they felt like they had a lot of friction - didn't have t...

Wow, thanks for your great support! I cancelled my order on the Poker 3 and as soons as I have the money back (could take a while since the company isn't responding to my mails) I will order a GH60. Thanks for your opinion on the Greetech switches. Wondering why everyone says they are scratchier... ...

Hey czarek, thanks for your answer! As it happens, I just asked over your website if you could sell them with Cherry mx browns too. What I am thinking of is to use an ANSI-GH60 and remap the keys so I have some special characters to which I am used to, but with the benefit of bigger lshift and bette...

Experience with GH60 from FalbaTech?

Hallo, since I am waiting on my Pok3r for four weeks now I'm thinking of cancelling the order and getting a GH60 from FalbaTech. Does anyone have experience with them? How is their quality and how good are the Greetech brown switches as compared to the Cherry MX browns? I could of course solder them...

Small keyboards offer a bit more space on your desktop. Also, the travel of your right hand (lefthanders don't have this problem) is far less if you are using a TKL or a 60% solution. Also, they look nice. Personally, I don't use the Numpad or the Funktion-Keys and like my cursor keys to be WASD or ...

That was my choice too - nice to have a german layout after all and I think the bezel-less design is awesome. Also, they are easy to get with clears - if you're into this stuff. I had one with clears, but it was to stiff for me so I sold it. Ordered one with browns now. Unfortunately they are out of...

With the newest firmware you get kinda arrow-keys on a POK3R! Just press LWin+RAlt+Spacebar and FN, PN, RCtrl and RShift become your arrow keys. There useless for me anyway since I do all my caps with the LShift. It's not like real arrow keys though, since one is not used to having switching modes f...

These are only useful if using CAD. But then they are worth their money three and four times! I am using the SpaceNavigator and for CAD its almost like crack (ok, I don't know how Crack is, but you get the point), it's just so useful.

Soldering an USB cable

Hey!

I would like to solder some USB cables, since I can not order nice ones here. I know the pin allocation, but how do I handle the metal shielding around the USB cable?

From what I heared you have to connect them to the usb male plug housing on both sides.

Best regards
Max

60% Walnut for my Poker 3. Wenge is to "unsettled" for me and I really like the look of the walnut. Think this will look great and especially feel great as opposed to the book that I am currently using as a wristrest :D

Spherical/round keycaps for Cherry MX

Hello I just found some pics on reddit of modded keyboards with the Round 5 or 6 caps. Pretty awesome - yet although I searched the web thoroughly I could't find out where to buy them. The problem: I am looking for a white/grey/red setup in a ISO DE-Layout for a Vortex Poker 3 and unfortunately the ...
