Looks nice. The outside is not that important to me (although it should look alright and it should be a hard shell), but the inside should be protective and non-scratchy. A normal foam would do too, but that would be difficult in terms of shapes (but maybe you know a solution for this that I don't).

If it would fit also the HHKB Pro BT that would be kinda nice. The battery makes it 1.1cm deeper, that's it. would you be able to measure it? I mean the whole keyboard Sure: it's 29.3cm x 12.0cm and the height from rubber pads to highest point of the keycaps is about 4.0cm on the back and 2.6cm on ...

Rubber domes it is. But it is heavenly to type on, it's a totally other keyboard than the cheap rubberdomes you can get everwhere. I paid what you would expect. You'll have to pay the 19% extra at customs but nothing else, there seems to be no extra percentage on keyboards. Pretty pricey, but you o...

Browser for Mac
I am really unsatisfied with my browsers atm. Safari is just terrible to use. Need to zoom every second and the extensions for this like ZoomBySite crash e.g. youtube. Also, there is somehow no extension available to clear youtube from ads. Chrome has a terrible bookmarks-interface. Firefox has a gr...

Finally got my HHKB Pro BT. Funny customs guy wanted to know why the heck I would pay that shitload of money for a keyboard. Had to fudge a story... "Yeah, japanese quality you know... got RSI, that's, äh, never mind, got some malady of playing to much piano and with this keyboard you can write with...

Windows has the win-key as a fourth modifier, but it isn't used as extensively as on a mac. Yes, just get used to the shortcuts. It's not much... what's ctrl+c or ctrl+v in Windows is cmd+c/v/x in OS X. In a browser the same applies to ctrl+w/t/l/k. I switch on a regular basis and it is no problem a...

it is actually pretty smart, they removed one element (the spring) from the equation making everything cheaper to produce. It is getting closer and closer to a standard membrane for sure :) Of course we would need to open one and see for ourselves what they actually did inside. I think that picture...

I just map the missing ISO <> key to the split right shift key. One function layer is more than enough for me. But i use control/capslock as the FN key and a function layer that is based on the Pok3r function layer with a couple of additions/changes. Since I switch keyboards a lot I have to use the...

Well the HHKB is about 2-3x the price of a common GH60 build, especially if you are already considering getting a HASU controller. I have two HHKB both with HASU controller since I use a layout that cannot be configured with the DIP switches of the HHKB. The "loss" of the USB hub is a lot less anno...

I don't have any experience with Hasu's controller but I can tell you HHKB stock layout is pretty damn good. I use the same layout (+ some extras) on my GH60. The only downside of the stock HHKB is that the media keys don't work in windows no matter what you do. Thats a pity. Especially when you ar...

Experience with the HHKB and hasu BT controller?
Hey, at the moment I am thinking on what to spend my money. GH60 or HHKB. Initially I wanted to go for a GH60, split RShift, split backspace, but the HHKB kinda sounds tempting. Thanks internet... The thing is, the only way I could use the HHKB is when it were programmable, so I would have to use th...
