Okay so the fella from reddit told me to cut the JO jumpers on the board. Ought I do it?

All soldered in. Now I gotta figure out this power issue. The guy I spoke to over reddit didn't mention this to adapt but I'll try to contact him again.

Quick tip on soldering: the chisel tip is fine (it's what I use), it's more on method. For joining the wires to pins with solder, I'd tin the wire lead, tin the pin lead then heat them together to reflow the joints into one. Same process one would use for something like soldering leads on LEDs. Whe...

Hot plugging PS/2 isn't the best idea. The Mini-DIN connector for PS/2 and the larger DIN one for the AT are standardised. What's inside connecting the cable to the keyboard's PCB isn't. first off do you definitely know that it will not work with a pc in some way? if it was made after about 1980 then there is a good chance there are already commercial or community made converters that already exist.
