You are on the right track with Typewirters, I got a old Canon AP200x the other day thats has SKCC Greens with double shots. Spacebar would be a problem but it might work OK for the Alpha's. You have to check each Canon AP though, as they come in whole variety of switches. Please excuse the filth. h...

Looks the same as the switch on my Caleco Adam keyboard, kind of like them. Sounds like wood/bamboo being hit together bit like the Apple M0110.

I liked the look of them in the past, but based on 002 & Seebart's views on the Olivetti Keyboard 1, I gave it a miss.

If you are in the States something like a Zenith ZKB-2 or a Wang 725 might be worth a look, should get one for less than $100. Apple AEK is good but you would need to convert.

No probs, it sounds like a good project. I was thinking for fine work tolerances required for the IBM logo, I seem to remember that bespoke jewelry makers sometimes use fine tolerance CNC machines so that might be a option given it would be a one off and a hardcore enigneering firm might not be that...

You colud get the oval laser cut out of brass or even gold and then have it over printed or sprayed with white, the template could be cut in vinyl by a sign maker (people who do vehicle decals etc) Possible other option is have the IBM machined into the metal and then back fill the IBM part with a w...

Hi, best to relist in the Marketplace with a WTB (want to buy) listing. The Topre made dome is probably best bet, but the BKE redux domes maybe easier to get hold of, I've heard the weightings and tactility are not the same as OG Topre though.

I dont think its the Plate Spring Version, the Model number on the listing is a mismatch and the bottom row keys are not triple shot (with green) like the 5576-03 ALPS version.

No, pretty sure its rubberdome, not sure what flavour. If you can see a white plastic mounting plate under the keys its not going to be Cherry.
