Three new ALPS keypads on the way. Two CNF #1804 with PS/2 connectors and an ORTEK MCK 18S/N with serial DE-9. I could use some advice on usb conversion. Can I buy a simple PS/2 to USB converter and plug it in, or do I need to solder in a new controller or something. I've found a pin out for the ORT...

LCbn2z7jRgmrsZy4gCjOOQ.jpg fullsizeoutput_21fc.jpeg I've just come across a KU6-SG-1000 keyboard. It has Alps mount keycaps with rubber dome cherry mount sliders. Pretty basic quality keyboard, but the feel is pretty good. Didn't realize it was Alps (bonus) til I got it home. Can anyone provide me ...

That's a Digital DECwriter-III from around 1980. They were used as teletypewriters but more often as printing terminals. DECwriters were the preferred operator/master consoles not only for VAXes and PDPs but also for similar systems of the era that were made by other manufactures (which, as the sti...

Xerox terminal
Today, I came across two Bell telephone terminals in a junk shop. It looks like they are made by Xerox. Not sure what these would have been used for, but maybe a telephone operators terminal. One machine is missing a space bar and another key the other looks complete. The switches look familiar, but...

I picked up a T3200 by accident on ebay this week. Floated a $50 bid (shipped) and to my surprise the seller took it. Missed out on a T1200 which I really wanted, because I'd already spent $ on the T3200, and because the shipping was like $40 from Texas. It sold for about $10US. I really wanted the ...

This keyboard is so awesome. I love the colour mix and work you put in to convert it. Did the donor typewriter have reusable switches, or did you have to mod the keycaps to work with something else? And the back plate, did you reuse or fabricate a new one? If these questions have very obvious answer...
