My wallet is going to be so destroyed, between this and a PC build I'm doing in January.

It's real, that site is Lenovo's consumer-facing online store for Think-branded products in China. (Note that the images are even hosted on lenovo.com.cn. And, if you go to lenovo.com.cn and shop for Think-branded products, you end up there.)

There's also a red case option. If I were willing to spend over $100 for a ThinkPad sticker (TEX Yodas are $199 when there's a drop for one, I believe), that's what I'd go for.

But, well, $199 is far too much for Cherry MX as it is, let alone $309.

Still, they're Cherry MX clones, and the other choice is a rubber dome, so it really is a choice between Alps and BS.

I'm assuming you mean that the keys click, but no keystroke is generated? I would be inclined to suspect poor contact between the controller and membrane, myself. Rule #1 of disassembling a M2: Remove stabilized keys LAST. (This is the shift keys, Enters, backspace, numpad +, and spacebar, IIRC - se...

It's flex in the middle unsupported span that makes tactility inconsistent and poor. Doesn't take much at all to throw things off. (And, IMO, the outer keys are a bit inconsistent too, wouldn't be surprised if the foam is rotten.)
