Wonder if we should make a "Join Nexthority" thread and get someone to pin it to the top of the forum.

Re: Buckling spring MT3 Keycaps!
These will 100% feel scratchy and awful at the resolution you've printed them at. Filament printing, even at its best, really can't do the "grain" you would need to get a smooth switch, even with monstrous amounts of lube applied. Hell, I doubt resin printing could get a high enough resolution to ma...

Ironically, I need them for an SKCM Brown board lol. As lock lights, to match the weighting of the browns and to match the color scheme.

Re: Alps Lubricant FOUND!
We already know what the original lube was. Alps themselves told us. Confused if Nek is trying to find a modern analogue (in which case, I have no idea why he dismissed wax boiling) or trying to find the original lube (which again, we already have.) I haven't been keeping track of this thread for a ...

Re: Micro Switch RW 10036/7 MS11059C ?, SW Keyboard Pair (50+ photos)
That's pretty incredible that IBM made the keycaps for Microswitch keyboards even before Microswitch made keyboards for IBM. I wonder if there are more examples of this partnership?

Re: IBM Model M BT-USB controller conversion kits
Will this controller support the FSSK and FEXT projects? And will it be open source so that we can order our own? Does it also have support for a solenoid/beeper? With the price it's hard to justify this over nice!nano combined with a TH controller.

Re: IBM FSSK Build Log
idea: it would be nice to update the PCB with an integrated controller. This will allow to ease the building process. Any interest ? promise: When the original controller is removed and replaced, the usb cable goes through a big hole. I always thought that I could design a 3d-print a piece to make ...

Re: IBM 6580 with black key buttons
Yes, it's legit. Was made for an extremely rare dual-monitor system, the IBM 5253. Barely any info on this, was apparently an industrial control unit of some kind (explaining the dark caps) but beyond that almost zero.

Re: Opinions on Mechanical Keyboards
In the meantime, are there any other forums on vintage keyboards, that are worth visiting? The traffic on DT is really disappointing. I know there is geekhack and r/MechanicalKeyboards, but those are more about modern mechs, mods and Topre cult. As far as forums go, this is about it as far as I kno...

Habit. Once Nexthority 's up and running, maybe we'll move en masse. Dunno though. Much as I appreciate what Redmaus is up to, it needs a lot more users to achieve critical mass (you'll know it if and when it doesn't seem dead), and Redmaus is then in the same position as Webwit was back here: a si...

Sad seeing longstanding members and their collections disappear completely. Reminds me of Blaise a few years back. His collection simply vanished from what I know, most likely thrown away by relatives.

3. I'm not sure if this is because the amount I have put on my switches is too much or not, but it's still quite hard to get an even layer across the parts of the slider that do make friction. Even with proper shaking, it's still kind of random where the wax lands, and the regions where it does lan...
