It means that while pressing Space the keyboard has another layout, so for example your HJKL keys may be cursors (if you are a vim user). You can still use your Space key, pressing and releasing it sends proper Space key code. You can have several layers, move permanently between them, move temporar...

I don't know what keyboard is it, but I have to say that those keycaps are superb. And I am the kind of guy not much interested in keycaps.

HHKB nightmare

I think this topic title will attract lot of curious, willing to know what affair related to a HHKB keyboard may be a nightmare. But no, this is not about something real, this is about dreams, and in my case it is about a dream I had yesterday night. The question is that in some random moment of my ...

Yes, that is the correct way to do it, using fn_actions. The only drawback is that you are limited to 32, but if these are enough for you then it's ok. Here is my config, maybe you find something useful there for any other purpose. The thing I found the most difficult was creating 4 different layers...

My keymap.c I use to program my Hasu's converter. I use the extra modifier left to the space bar to do window manager tasks, and the right to left bar as an extra layer for things like moviment keys, del, backspace, insert, etc. My configuration includes some variations, so I can move the most comfo...

I moved to JIS a year ago and I can't look back. Being an ISO user for my entire life before. If you are the kind of user that likes to squeeze every posible combination on your keyboard JIS with some software remapping tool or the Hasu's usb-to-usb converter (much better choice)is the way to go. No...

From the video I feel it has a soft and warm sound, something I really like on a keyboard.

I guess I could enjoy using that switch (if only it was still made).

Completely agree with Mu, but in my case only Matias Quiet deserves to be used (sorry Model M).

In fact, if I had a JIS Matias Quiet I would be using it as much as my Topre boards.

Owning these 3 keyboards, I prefer the Realforce keyboard to the HHKB for its construction, feels better built and sounds also better to me, the HHKB has a toy feeling compared to a Realforce. With this said I use the HHKB just because I don't use the arrows column so I end with my trackball nearer ...

You all made me remember my young times when I used 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 2.0 mm mechanical pencils. I've got them at parents home, but reading you all I couldn't wait to take them on my next visit in two weeks, I had to buy a new one and spend 20$ on a new 0.9/1.0 mm one and a box of 2B mines for it. I think that batteries decission is the best they could have done. I can't stand products with integrated, hard to replace batteries. Having a JIS one, the most important to me is its bottom row being most standard unlike the traditional HHKB and the additional mods JIS provides.

I completely agree with you all, but including stories on the opposite side makes it even more funny:

"My computer has no network", "Are you connected with wi-fi", "No", "Are you connected with cable?", "No", at that point it comes the uncomfortable silence.

You must unplug your cable whenever an appliance is not in use. A right-angle plug simply fails in a different way than a straight plug. The much greater danger is damaging the female socket, that costs more to replace than a dozen cables. I move my HHKB daily from work to home and viceversa, and I...

I already asked the guy if he is shipping it. He stated only sells on his city by hand, but maybe there is a price by which he ships it.

It comes with ABS keycaps as seen on the photo.

Anyway, wiki states it always comes with big ass enter, and this one hasn't, but for such a low price why not try?
