With hasu's converter you don't need to know much about keycodes, look at my file, it is like filling in the gaps.

I think that batteries decission is the best they could have done. I can't stand products with integrated, hard to replace batteries. I always decide for the product which uses the most standard ones, easy to replace. I would go for one of those if my setup did not include a Hasu's usb-usb converter...

Having a JIS one, the most important to me is its bottom row being most standard unlike the traditional HHKB and the additional mods JIS provides.

I've seen on a second hand mobile application (wallapop, don't know how to take images from it) two clones of IBM keyboards, one is a clone of IBM Model F AT (din connector) which by the photos seems the Philips clone with space invaders, and a Model M clone with HP brand, each one sold by a few.

I did on a Matias Quiet, just to test. The difference was so, so, so subtle than there was no real difference besides shortening the key travel.
