I found this on ebay and thought it would look nice in a frame (I will most likely clean and scan/shoot it with a high res camera). I find it interesting they describe the beam spring as a "Selectric keyboard" with six models available.

The whales are fighting over this whale. I do think the high prices are a temporary bubble. When Ellipse starts shipping the Model F reproductions and hype photos/video start rolling out in the community, there will be a cheaper comparable substitute good for consumers. IMO the price bubble will bu...

The old foam is always worthless and could contribute to some wobbliness. I'm not 100% sure if the new foam makes a huge difference though since the key modules are packed so close to each other. There will still be wobbliness when moving a key side to side when it is not pressed down. The foam doe...

IBM 5251 cleanup/usb conversion
Finally got my hands on a 5251 and everything Chyros hyped up is true. I absolutely love it :D . My board appears to be in great shape and it cleaned up/converted rather easily. I didn't run into issues with keys not registering with the solenoid on as stated in Chyros' 3278 video. Was the controlle...

Good god how much that brown alps board is selling for, that's about 4 dollars a switch! I need the cash right now maybe I will sell my brown alps I just desoldered from a videowriter. At $4 a switch that's about what blue alps boards sell for, 104 key selling for $400-450. It just shot over $250 :...

I noticed an IBM 5251 full computer system on ebay recently and was curious about the pricing/value. Here is the link- https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-IBM-5251-Computer-w-Machine-history-document-and-Parts-Catalog/273017098228?hash=item3f91164ff4:g:CTAAAOSwnw9aRsCo $2400 seems a bit high for this, ...

I still believe that Videowriter is Alps, despite what the seller says. I think there may be some confusion somewhere. The date code and Videowriter | Magnavox badge place it smack-dab in Alps territory. If it isn't Alps, it's a real outlier! From what I've gathered, it's really not as random as yo...

Aaand sold![/quote] Same one has been relisted. The curious thing is that the listing required immediate payment, meaning someone actually paid the $1000 and the transaction still fell through. This from a new, zero feedback seller...smells like the same old funny business we've seen before....
