Unknown Radioshack Keyboard

I was roaming around some local thrift shop and I came upon two of these radioshack keyboards: http://i.imgur.com/yBYEO.jpg http://i.imgur.com/yItGy.jpg http://i.imgur.com/W3M2n.jpg I had a picture of the keys, but that must have been accidentally deleted. They had spring right underneath them, don'...

Or if anyone knows a good paint that will still allow for functional trackball usage, I'd be interested in purchasing an additional trackball and posting the results.

Does anyone know the size of the Logitech M570 trackball? Have you found any places that offer cool/interesting alternatives?

Yeah, on my next one I am going to put the knots on the inside. Sadly, I thought about this after I had finished the project. It is a bit more difficult when it comes to closing the zipties, but would be worth it in the long run. And I kinda like the dotmatrix ink :)

(yes...I am American)(I'm sorry...;]) Never apologize for being American. Secondly, I am jealous that your FK-2001 has a Windows Key. I got one for free at my universities computer graveyard, I am doing another expedition through it tomorrow actually. I found the dustcover to be stupid, so I ripped...

Ah ok prava. How do you secure the shipping for a group buy? Are all of the caps sent to one person, who then distributes? Or is it setup in a way so that all of the parties interested are sent to the distributor for a discounted rate, and then at that point the distributor takes care of the shippin...

Someone at the university said that Cray computers used to mark cables like this so that no one could reverse engineer the pairs, but I don't know if I believe that. It functions just fine to connect devices at very short ranges, kind of enjoy it as it bridges a port on my router to a switch.

Great job, thats exactly what I meant. Denture tabs, the one thing every keyboard geek should have in his cleaning kit^^. I did some research to determine if it was the right thing when I began the cleaning. It seems that they have a variety of uses for cleaning so I don't mind having the 40 tabs t...

I forgot about those. Most of the time when I am in school labs they all have modern rubber dome dell keyboards, and i use use em there. At home and on laptop I use Q-Dir, which pretty much eliminates the need to use the default windows explorer. Q-Dir is quite superior in my opinion. Also, on home ...

I have gotten used to my FK-2001, which does not have a Windows key. I just reprogrammed my Griffin Powermate to have a push be Windows+R to open a command line, which is all I ever used with the windows key anyways.

Original IBM Model M or Unicomp Spacesaver M

I found out that unicomp bought the patent for the IBM Model M some time ago. I wanted to find out what the differences in quality were. Is it worth purchasing an original IBM Model M from clickykeyboards.com for ~$85 or going to unicomp (pckeyboards.com) and getting one of their new models. I know ...

Where did this keyboard come from?

I love the awesome face Esc key, has anyone seen keycaps, or a board like this before?

I notice that it is a filco, but I can't match anything to it besides that. I really want to know where the person got that key from.

Side Project: Floppy drive pencil holder

Hello all, I wanted to show you a nifty project I did this weekend. So, I remember seeing somewhere that someone had made a pencil holder with some old floppy drives, and I wanted to try it out myself. All you need are 5 floppy disks (I used 3 1/2 size), and 12 zipties (a few extra if you screw up a...

I got all of the keys off (really need to get a key puller though, got a few small scratches on the edges of some of them but no worries. Put all of the keys in a bowl with warm water and put denture cleaning tabs in (I assume that is what you meant by dental tabs, if not either way it worked great)...
