I'm the person who originally found one a Neopost board. I think it should be obvious that these were used by shipping companies on specialized POS systems with a scale (mine also came with the scale, which I still have). No the caps I sold it with weren't original - they were extras I had as I wanted to keep the shipping keycaps. The shipping keycaps are the TALLEST keys I've ever seen and also pad print, so I'm not sure that I'll ever actually use them. The scale has a serial connector and is good up to 105 pounds if I recall. Haven't tried to get that running but it would be nice since I ship a lot.\
Ah, so that was your board. Out of curiosity, do you have any pictures of the keycaps still? When I think of tall keycaps I generally think of spherical since most cylindrical profiles I know of (with the exception of IBM Buckling Spring) tend to be rather short.
One of these caps next to a standard Alps R1 (Esc) key.

Keep in mind that those aren't AEK caps, they are neither PBT nor dyesubs.

Just spotted an ALL metal Wang Terminal, right here;

Didn't know they supplied them in such a decent looking casing. Imagine having an ALL Metal Wang to swing about at a Lan Party ;) .

I doubt that has MX switches, but if it does... that's one hunky and tough Wang

I doubt this is a metal case, at least the lower shell is clearly plastic.
It rather seems to have been sprayed with paint (and the caps received their fair part of it).

Anyway, this keyboard
(and I don’t mean a similar one, but the very same keyboard,
clearly identifiable by the marks on the F-keys label strip and the scuffs next to the Esc key left of the space bar
as well as by the glue remains on the lower shell)
can be found in a listing by another seller (apparently valid since Jun 13, 2017):

Agreed, old memorabilia is cool. I really want this but I wouldn't pay anywhere near $800 for it. It's not as cool as the field engineering division sign that got sniped from me for $50 at the last second...

Here's an F XT for $80+shipping, which is actually lower than what they usually go for nowadays, with the case painted black!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-IBM-Pe ... 2763718980

The badge is missing and one of the feet is broken, but I know orihalcon probably has replacements available for the latter at least.

That XT was listed before, perhaps by another seller. I remember they spoke of the "rare black-and-red colorway."

Unlikely that Mr. Duul would say that. They used to pretty regularly go for $750-$1K used, or up to $2K with the numpad. The going rate more recently is definitely less than that, but $500 starting to me seems more than fair for NIB.
