I havent done a dedicated thread and was mostly replying on "Ducky G2Pro tenkeyless"-thread before but im doing one now as i have more things to show than just the above mentined keyboard model. So here goes...

First of all, im a keyboard enthusiast just like you. Personally i have a lot of keyboards and not all made by Ducky. Even some vintage boards. I represent Ducky Nordic and we are the Nordic distributor and partner of Ducky. That means that keyboards we produce are for larger part in ISO layout. With Ducky we produce some models that are not available in other regions by default...as we like to experiment a little over here and have our fingers deep in product planning

Personally i like DT a lot and have been reading stuff here for quite a while. Maybe in near future we can also participate in the community at some level. At least by sponsoring some prize for competition/event/xmas.

In this thread i will post info and photos of stuff we make or plan to do. Sometimes its PR, sometimes its just for fun. Ill start of with some goofy stuff i made:

Ducky G2Pro Mixed switch specials




We released two mixed switch G2Pro tenkeyless specials: First one is a tactile mix of MX Brown and MX Clear and second one is a clicky mix of MX Blue and MX Green.

We also released a fullsize G2Pro with a mix of 3 linear switches for fast paced FPS/RTS gamers, MX Red, MX Black and MX Grey. It is named the "badass"

4. The limited edition Silver/Aluminum keycaps by Ducky Nordic -project

This is one of my favourite projects. Ive been wanting to a limited edition series of single keycaps made of metal and colorful stones. Lucky me i have a friend who is a jewelier and together we are creating a very limited edition series of 4 Cherry MX keycaps. Later on we might do also topre variants

So far 3 out of 4 prototypes are ready and the 4th one should be ready within 2 weeks. If you would wish to acquire one or more from the series i will post later on how this is possible. The prices wont be too heavy as we wont use only pure Silver to make them and they can shipped in a soft envelope. These caps are made in Finland.

So, this is a serie of 4 metal heads with stones in eyes and the are named like this:

The Ancient
The Butcher
The Exoskull
The Maniac (no picture yet, but this will be like an old hockey mask...used in some horror movies )

5. The Ducky Nordic programmable 60% ISO keyboard -project

60% with Fn + Pn

Yes, we will be producing a programmable 60% ISO keyboard. Actually its already going on production soon. I can tell a little bit about it: Its ISO-layout, Its plate mounted, its 63-keys, LED-backlit and fully programmable. We are also thinking of making a dual color PBT keycap set for it (if u dont care about led backlight) soon after release.

Ive actually had a 66-key ISO prototype for couple of moths but i thought for a long time about the layout and decided to change it. The 66-key protype had too many 1X keys to my taste and i prefer to make as "classic" layout as its possible on a 60% board.

I dont have pic yet (well, i do have a pic of the layout but i wont post it just yet) but i will post it as soon as the new prototype lands here.

will that iso "shadow" (aka ninja) set be available for purchase?

Hmmm, that is some nice stuff! I'll save an extra spot in my wallet for this in the future ^^ But will it be more easily available? From what I read a while ago in the other thread it's mostly only available in Finish or Swedish online stores, at best.

I really like that first picture with the colored smoke effect.

is there a MX RED TKL white case, white caps, white backlight available or doable?

I am VERY excited about the programmable 60% in ISO layout. Please keep us updated on this project as it progresses.

since the 60% board will be plate-mounted, is it going to have cutouts on the plate to allow for switch opening (like phantom & co)?

I'm dumb, if it's backlit you have to desolder the switches, no matter what kind of plate ist has...

Currently only availbale with the keyboard. Might also do as separate set later on but first there are interesting things coming to PBT caps

Well, most of keyboards are with Nordic legends so Nordic resellers it is...but we have more stuff than just the boards and even the caps on the boards can be changed ofc. Im also working on a wrist rest project...to create some nice acrylic ones.

With the Silver skullcaps coming and the 60% board i will try to arrange a broader channel for Europe somehow. With the caps i might do an new account so they can be shipped worldwide. They fit nicely in an soft envelope in a small jewelry box.

The keyboards will have higher postal/freight expenses of course but within EU it should be on acceptable level.

Answered above...but in short. I'll try to make more goods available thru Europe if there is interest for them...if nothing else then some goods i can ship personally as a private person. That would be easiest to do with small items like the silver/metal caps...atleast to start with.

I need to get my hands on those skulls. I'm not a great skull or novelty key fan but metal and 3d is my thing. Only GirlDC doing this till now and they are both expensive and hard to obtain.

Will you have the possibility to engrave your keys with other europeans layouts ? It's extremely hard to find PBT keys with FR legends for example and that would be a huge news.

Yes, a correction: It will have a programmable Pn-layer. By default its a regular keyboard until you activate Pn-layer.

Plate mounted? = Yes
Programme and fn layer? = Yes, Fn and Pn layer
Top layer delete and backspace keys? = 2x Backspace top right corner and del on Fn from same button
Righthand use arrows? = Had to put arrows on Fn + wasd. It was too crowded on bottom right corner with the Fn and Pn. If arrows would have been there would have need to compromize button size/arrangement.
Available with clears? = in the first batch no. Its brown, red, blue and black. Would love to do clear and green when there are more switches available again.
And yellow led? = First batch is white led. Wanted a neutral color and could only do 1 color as the first production batch is very small

Well its possible of course but i would need to have about 100pcs going...or atleast minimum 50 sets. If there was a french reseller interested on stocking the above mentioned qty then its very doable.

where do the NEW ducky builds? I have some rumor say that ALL of the boards of ducky are build in China now.

No, currently its only the new lower price Zero-series thats made in china by contract...and it is not made by iOne
So far i havent taken on the lower price Zero series to the Nordics.

The metal skulls are vanity items of course but for me personally day to day life is grey and boring enough...so im fine with a little vanity here and there Its eye candy...uhm, like a xmas tree which also holds no practical use besides giving a good feelin'.

Actually the idea to make them came out of a practical need. I was looking for someting cool for showpiece keyboards and couldnt quite find what id like. And if i did find something a little interesting it was either hard to get or very expensive. So i decided that i would create them myself.

The prototypes have been forming and done little by little for over 2 months now and im quite happy with the outcome. Even though they do require quite a bit of handcrafting at several stages and the materials are not the cheapest around...if anyone wishes to have one they wont be ridiculously pricy.

Could you explain what Pn layer is? How is it different from Fn layer?

I understand you are mainly talking about ISO layout keyboards. How about ANSI layout boards?

I am very excited to see programmable keyboards finally coming out!
