Computer on a USB drive-What is out there?

I know I saw something about this a long time ago, but I am looking for a way to run an OS and some other software from a "computer on a stick". It HAS to be USB, not HDMI. This will not be plugged into a computer to run as a VM; it will BE the computer on a multi-port USB hub. I am looking for some way to do it from a USB stick instead of using a Raspberry Pi. The Pi has a SD card slot to put the software on, but it does not come with enough memory, and the extra software I need to run won't support using a (different) device such as another USB drive for swap space for memory.

Geeks and hackers, what is available? Need it to be as reliable and fast as possible

Any reason it has to plug into the hub directly? You can use an intel compute stick and not use the hdmi end at all and plug the hub into that.

The multi port USB is 20 ports, with its own AC adapter. Each of the 20 ports gets 750mA of power. It is an industrial design. Each of at least 18 ports will have a high powered specialty device with its own ASIC plugged into it. The "PC on a stick" just needs to hold the OS (I can use Win 7 or better or some flavor of Linux) and the specialty software. The PC part needs to provide ethernet, video, USB for kbd/mouse, and general purpose computing capabilities to run the OS. Can the Intel compute stick do all this? The old version used a Pi, which plugged into one of the USB slots on the multi port. But the new version has to be improved

Lmao 20 ports? I don't think I've ever seen something like that goodness!
I mean I use a lattepanda as a media box.. it's the size of a raspberry pi but more powerful.. it's x86 based.
