Getting up at 6AM on February the 29th finally paid off yesterday when I got to order one from RS Components... Anyone else got their hands on one?

For those who don't know what I'm on about...

For starters, I might set it up as a torrent server and video stream (my router and TV are right beside eachother) but I intend on doing all sorts of hacks on them. I may get another one once the mad demand dies down.

yeh im down for the next batch too,
not really planning anything much with it just a MAME and media player machine, totally different to what the creators envisioned.

I intend to test how usable it is for browsing, office, media consumption.
I'm on a energy saving trip..
If its too slow, I'll try nasberry and so on

I got in for the second badge too. I intend to place it inside of an IBM 122-Key Terminal Board, there is so much space in these things! Then I'll put an Archlinux on it, and see what I can use it for.

Ooh, keep us posted. I already made a thread here when I placed my order. Mine's due mid-May - a weekend of umming about it cost me three weeks' wait.

Came in this morning (the guy from DHL rang before delivery.., which was good given that I was out shopping at the time). Pictures later!

I registered my interest at element14 and actually got a mail not long ago to place my order. However they only accepted credit cards and the final price of €39 was nowhere near the promoted $35. So I decided not to order.

Got mine from RS Components. The ex. VAT price was £21 (around the $35 mark) but became about £30 (~€35/$50) once shipping and taxes were added in. Still a good deal in my book though.

Mod it into a Model M.

as I said, Model M Terminal Board. So much space musn't stay unused! Also this would be a good successor to the C64. Only cheaper, and with more power. And a better keyboard. I definitely have to install VICE on the Arch once I get it.

That would be bloody wicked. Give it a cassette slot though. 8-)

Got mine in today.

It really needs to be installed into an F13 of sorts, if only such a board existed.

A Raspi may fit into a 122-key F (or the older style 122-key Ms) or comfortably inside a Beam Spring. Not sure about a Pandaboard...

...not yet. Ordered late on the 2-29 and ship date still shows 8-16.
