I didn't see the point of "reaction videos" on YouTube, and from what I've seen the general consensus is that most of them suck…

Well, I've stumbled upon this channel: The Charismatic Voice. She, an opera singer, apparently knew next to nothing about metal until people started pitching Nightwish to her last year, and it's led to this recent complete and utter conversion:
When your grandma or whoever complains about the "noise", there's a possibility of an redemption arc.

Heavy Metal is on pause while I go through my yearly Country phase. Can't beat the King!

For me, this is the LotR soundtrack. Well, along with Blind Guardian. But most of this album is actually directly based on [translated] songs from The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit or The Silmarilion… except perhaps one (Battle for Gondor) that I couldn't find anywhere.
Too bad the musician was a pos (secret-police collaborator).
