Looking for Keycaps for Wyse PCE

I have a Wyse PCE keyboard that is missing its switches and keycaps, that I actually plan to use on a Wyse machine (Wyse PC+, WY-1400). So, I need a keycap set, since getting switches is easy.

Some of the keys aren’t too hard to find, like the 8u space bar, but the enter key is an unusual shape, and the modifier keys are oddly-sized.

Does anyone have a set for sale, or any suggestions on getting a set made? I know that SP can make them, but reviewing their site doesn’t show anything directly useful, for any reasonable price.

Thanks!

what language/layout does it use? If you're in the US I have some spanish layout caps that would work if you happen to need iso caps

I am indeed in the US, and this board is US layout.

I’m pretty flexible, though, as beggars can’t be choosers.

Relying on the wiki pic, it seems to simply be a normal ISO Enter key.

Ah, ok. I don’t have any other ISO boards to compare with.

I particularly need the 8u space bar, and the odd size modifier keys.

zrrion, I’m interested in the keys that you have.

Does anyone know if the RJ-11 interface on the Wyse PC+ (WY-1400) is the same as the RJ-11 on the Wyse 286 (WY-2108)? There are _very_ few references to the WY-1400 online, at this point.

I do know that the keyboard from my Wyse 85 is not electronically compatible, even though it, too, uses the RJ-11 connector. Not surprising, but I had hope.

Alex,

I have always called the WY-1400 and other phone jack looking Wyse keyboard ports as "RJ9" or "4Px4C"

I have been a Wyse dealer since 1991 and will try and answer any Wyse, Link or Qume questions I can.

I have over 4,000sqft of terminals printers and spare parts.

Here is what I know about the Wyse WY-1400

Factory Nicknamed: (Samantha)

[ Keyboards that worked ]
Wyse EPC 840358-01
Wyse EPC 901865-01 (not tested but replaced the 840358-01)
Wyse AT Style 900129-01 (Space saver keyboard - Also worked on WY-2200 and WY-60 terminal)

Thanks,

Rob

Much appreciated, Rob. Mine is now in mostly OK shape, using some SA-profile keycaps that I found online cheaply. The only remaining issue is that the CTRL keys should be 2.5u and not 2u, but that’s going to be hard to find.
