Identifying Desko Keycaps

Hello everyone!

This is my first post so please pardon me if I should have left this as a reply to some thread, but I was curious if anyone would be able to identify the type of material used for these keycaps from a Desko BMOS 5200 UP evo. Please see the attached images.

Any help or resources would be appreciated! Thanks!

I'd say POM as well.

thank you for the second opinion! after doing some more digging, I'm also fairly certain they're the typical Cherry black pom with white filled legends. I was just a bit confused since the 6U spacebar has "PBT" printed underneath :-?

Well, in that case!

If you’ve actually got the keyboard, you could try a few things. Ruling out ABS is a start: try the acetone test. Don’t know off the top of my head if it can distinguish between PBT and POM though.

Spacebars are often a different material from the rest of the caps. You can usually tell when you have them in hand. Different density and texture. POM especially is very slick. PBT tends to feel rougher.

Thanks for the follow-up and suggestions! I'm fairly certain it's not ABS, and the texture of the spacebar does indeed feel rougher than the other keys, which are pretty slick, so you may be right with that last guess.

Might do some additional snooping but also happy to settle with the conclusion that everything but the spacebar is POM! I can't use the spacebar anyway since it's 6U, and I'll be using an ABS spacebar instead. Again, thanks a bunch! :D
