On top one says IRIS, no labels behind. Seems quite old and looks like some IBM Model F clone.

Strange Cherry fish, should be a pretty great little workhorse! Likely MX blacks under thin PBT keycaps. Does anyone know the model number?

It’s a G81-8308, it has awful MY switches.
And yes, it is a pretty great little workhorse with 24 programmable keys, like its predecessor the G80-2100..

But then again, maybe it isn't G81! :P  Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, though.

So unlucky. That's such a beauty. I don't suppose there were any pictures of the label? I hope it turns up somewhere so we can at least identify it

Please stop commenting this on every Siemens/Nixdorf branded Cherry board  The only boards with "Nixdorf blacks"/"Nixies" are the Nixdorf Softkeys boards [1] [2], which are easily differentiated from the Siemens/Nixdorf boards that were OEM'd by Cherry themselves.

They keycaps look nice - they would definitely get some interest on their own. As to the keyboard itself, it depends a bit on the connector and how usable it is. I for one like it: many strange buttons is a plus!

i like it too! honestly wouldn't mind selling it. But it is a ps2 connection on it. It was covered in plastic its whole life. sop the condition of it is very good.

The G80 version of the 8038 is not a Cherry model, but a modification made by a third party (don't remember the name at the moment), according to which they make them only with MX browns.

Bugger, you were right, of course. G81 it is!  Still, a great little tank of a board. Not sure I will be able to find a use for it, though. Typing on it is horrible, of course.

The innards of a G80-8000 would fit, but while the G80 has a flat cable as a connector, the G81 has a plastic sheet with printed tracks. Apparently no way to make the contacts fit, I fear, even if the connections have the same measurements and probably the same configuration.

But well, I'm not a keyboard tinkerer, of course.
Would be grateful for how-tos - preferably excluding soldering

PS/2 isn't a problem. PS/2 to USB adapters cost around $6 US. It would be nice if you remove a cap to show us the switches. I'm thinking Cherry, but I could be wrong.

Gotta love a keyboard that has both a "Meth" key and a "THC" key.

I'd probably put a bid on it, too. I also like lots of additional keys.

I've draw a blank on this switch - and the keyboard too. The switch is clicky, perhaps an Alps clone of some sort, but with a simple rectangular slider like an SMK 2nd Gen switch. Doesn't feel too bad at all. Does anyone recognize it?

It looks a lot like a KPT switch, but the top housing isn't quite right for that

I have a Fullmark board with what looks like a white version of the same switch. I thought I identified the switch, but have subsequently forgotten what it was. My Fullmark board is identical to two other boards I have with ISNJK-168/268 FCC ID (Limtech) (one with SKCM white, one with AO2 clones), apart from the label and PCB - the same as wiki/Brain_KB-9001S, but without the RB88. Note the 368 number on the plate. Sorry for the garbage photos.
