I've search the forum but I can't find a thread for keyboards identification... so I thought the best was to create one by myself.

Here's the first one since I have no clue of what it is:

Does it say Burroughs on the back? or any kind of ID number?

No idea, but it sure looks nice. Reminds me those Nixdorf Soft Touch boards layout.

Looks like an SDL plug on the cable, anyway

Could we see the back and switches?

I've no more photos since the keyboard isn't mine, just saw it in an advertisement.

Seems like there is one of these upstairs. I can check Fri or Sat.

Keyboard switches seem to be rubber sleeve with slider, as the keyboard in this thread.

If you look back through the threads, this is one of the early ones I posted.

Pretty sure I took one of these home or something very much like it. Rubber sleeve with slider. But - the slider is an ITW/Cortron magnetic valve switch! Or as I call it, "poor man's Hall effect".

It has a nice tactile feel.

That's a G80-1000HAU, G81-1000HAU or a similar variant

Nice doubleshot keycaps. If it's G80, it will be MX. Possibly NKRO, otherwise 2KRO. Definitely worth buying depending upon condition. Keycaps are worth around $100+ if in mint condition.

Well, for the price I paid one out of two is still very very good.

Some rubber domes can be ok if they are well built, topre are pretty good i hear.

But in all seriousness, standard domes can be ok some IBM boards that are rubber dome are quite nice, as are some older compaq.

I think having sliders above the dome can help, again if well designed.

hehe I love when people remind me that Topre is the most expensive dome in the world. Another nice example is Fujitsu peerless which is more like a hybrid rubber dome.

I have a Coleco ADAM keyboard that is surprisingly nice. It also uses sliders over domes. It will be much nicer once cleaned and lubricated.

Dome with slider designs like those of Fujitsu (including Peerless), NMB, BTC, Monterey, Alps, Acer, or even Key Tronic (who are supposedly pretty good with domes) - when's the last time you heard anyone say "Yeah, those are REALLY good, I really like that one"?

Amen. Shame that they're not exactly abundant, at least not in US ANSI layout.
I think a large part of the reason they feel good is the keycaps too. On the ANK-25 series at least, the caps are very nice thick PBT dye-subs, and the whole board is really solid and well-made, although I would hate for something to go wrong with the membrane as it doesn't look easy to get to.

Was the recent meetup your first time trying Olivetti domes, ramnes? (nice pics btw )

Caps make the switch. Even more so for domes. But just try telling that to people who haven't felt the effect for themselves. It's one of those makes-little-sense-objectively factors that keyboards, and all tactile things, are really about.

I haven't tried Olivetti domes. But I can certainly vouch for this effect on the NovaTouch and (with Mr. Interface's adapters) my Monterey SMK board. Thick caps and tall caps add different things to the keyfeel, in a pretty big way in fact. They'll easily overpower a spring swap.

That looks something like a Futaba MX mount switch but I haven't seen a slider that color before. Also I don't know enough info about the different variants to say for sure unfortunately.

It's not; Futabas aren't as flat at the base. It's either a different generation, or it's a completely different switch. I've never seen one like that before and couldn't find it under MX mounts in the wiki either.
