This came in today. I knew it was going to be a good one.

We are looking at RAFI RS 76 M switches.

This will make a nice addition to my keyboard display shelf. I think this is one of the more unusual keyboards in my collection.

The N cap is even more special

Anyway, that's a really impressive board. Muirium will want it

Ah yes it's upside down in a special way! :D Of course I did that on purpose as a test!

Thanks zts. Like I said it's an interesting one. I don't think it will turn into one of my daily drivers. The switch feels "strange" to me right now. Coming from my XT this feels almost "bouncy".

It looked shinier in the Ebay auction, nice to see it's in better shape than I though. :)

Some caps have some shine. The dental function row seems to have had heavy usage.

I reckon, this would be diagnosed as an occlusolingual discoloration. :D

These are mechanical switches (RS 76 M) - the metal leaves are clearly visible. IIRC, pink salmon sliders denote mechanical switches equipped with diodes. (Earlier versions of them had red, not rosy sliders.) The yellow ones also have diodes, but their springs are about 50% stronger.

Thank you for that info. Yes the yellow ones are "heavier".

Really nice. I’ve got a good offer for one, but what interface has it? AT? XT? Proprietary? Do the “dental” keys have any function?
Thx!

Seebart's not been around for a few years, unfortunately. Thanks for bringing this keyboard to my belated attention, though. I do indeed like the µ key, and the dental double function row. Having been to my dentist just recently I know exactly what those are for: the assistant takes notes as the dentist quickly assesses your teeth, describing them by number. No fancy keyboard at mine, I think they just tabbed through a form, but this board looks the classy way to do it.

I also reckon that's a 1992 production date inked on the PCB, along with 675: maybe a serial number or at least a model number you see several times.

I have a similar one of these with orange RAFI too but in a far less complete condition, keycaps wise. I was confused by the weird numbering row but when I saw the offer ZeFritz is referring to I understood it is for dental purposes.
AFAIK from testing my one and assuming it has the same protocoll these don't speak AT. I have no active converter to test for XT compatibility though.

this keyboard works over a passive converter off of amazon on pc, just tested it out
