Hello guys! I usually ask here before buy a keyboard because they're even more useful than Google most of times.
I found this thing yesterday:

The seller is very evasive and he isn't really helping me to identify this thing, the only info that I have is that this keyboard is from a teletype and is plate mounted. The switches looks bottom gray and black on the upper case. I would like to know what kind of switches are these before pay 30 USD for a few doubleshots.

That's interesting. The key layout, legends and the ribbon looks like a TI-99/4A, but different color from what I've seen.

That's the General Instrument keyboard. All the relevant photos are all gone from the DT topic (yet again, same old story, same old community failure) and the pictures on the nightfall crew site were on some article that seems to have been lost or erased -- however, looking at their picture you can see the switches clearly from below.

The switches are [wiki]General Instrument Series S950[/wiki], type S95010 E9.

Thanks Daniel, you are like a living encyclopedia! They supose to be virtually the same as Alps SKCC, so I think it would be a good deal.

I would not be surprised if Alps made them entirely, but I'm guessing it's a mixture of Alps and General Instrument tooling. Very odd. And even more odd when you realise that both Alps and General Instrument made keyboards for the same computer!

Please excuse my ignorance, but why is this keyboard $590???

It's probably 590 Argentinian Pesos, not Dollars, as that would fit the ~30 USD the OP mentioned.

I've got a NOS one of these somewhere (not sure it's this version), think its got the matrix attached. Will look for it later on.

edit: - Mine is the Mitsumi version. PM me if you want the Matrix.

I've seen many different versions of the board. I've had one with Futaba, one with integrated domes, one with Alps SKCC, and one with the General Instrument switches.
