hey there,
this forum was a huge influence to me and got me into the whole mechanical keyboard thingie. so thanks to all of you.
but theres one thing i cant find an answer to.
i recently bought an g80-3000-lsmde with blue switches. when typing, the case makes strange noises, kinda hollow and it feels loose.
i checked on my other 3000-lpmde and it feels stiff and the case doesnt makes sounds at all. both are from 1999.
so my questions are: what cases would fit the pcb? are there actual new cases to buy somewhere? i heard there are g81 cases around with metal stabilizing braces. would it fit? what should i looking for?
thanks in advance!

Whoa! The G80-3000's with Windows keys I've had/seen have not had such a large PCB. Instead there is a separate PCB for the keys and controller.
The G81-3000's I've had the same case as the G80-3000 with separate controller. There is metal backplate, but it occupies the same space as the G80-3000's PCB.
