Is that an add-on or is it an integral part of the bottom half of the case?

Not the F107 I got (how about the F62 keyboards?).

Correct, My F107 has one and it can be removed easily (clip-on)

Interesting how the Pingmaster has a similar clip-on foot system.

it's not so interesting, since it's also a part of the 4704 system

My point is, I find it interesting how the 4704 keyboards use the same, strange system. :)

Woa, amazing job with the restoration. Could you do a typing demo of it?

Yes sure, but first I want to make the buzzer works on every key press. Any help will be welcome!

I'm no expert but I think it's simply not on. Theres probably a short cut key to toggle it on or off. I just dont know what is it or maybe I'm completly wrong.

And finally, the buzzer works! I can hear it in every keypress. Also, if I move the knob I can mute it or increse the volume of the beep. Wow this is insane!
There's one thing left, I have to create an external adapter with a female db9 in order to preserve the original cable attached to the keyboard.

So, once the adapter is finished, I'll create a step by step guide "How to convert your 4704 Capacitive keyboard to usb" using only a 5 usd arduino.

Alright guys, the Keyboard is ready!

Today I finished the converter, I used a cheap Arduino Pro Micro as you can see in the images, heat shrinkable tubes, cables and of course a female DB-9.

Here, the final product:

The final cost was 500 ARS, 11.80 USD. It'll be cheaper in a First World country of course. Perhaps, 5 o 6 USD. I'll create a complete tutorial about how to create this adaptor for any 4704 keyboard. Also, the buzzer works correctly!

I more or less already did that in another video, albeit very quickly xD . Besides, I only have four models of CBS keyboards!

I probably will make one when and if I get my Ellipse keyboard, though xD .

IF? That sounds ominous... Did you buy it or is it going to be a freebie for review?

Alright guys, the post is finished. No more edits from now to the future about this keyboard. I will use it as it is, I won't change its original paint. Perhaps in the future, if the original logic board dies I will replace it with an XWhatSit one.

If you need help with any 4704 keyboard or just want to talk, send me a pm.
