Hello guys. I'm designing a keyboard from the switches to the case (or really just dreaming about it). When I was modeling the keycaps I found something really interesting.
You'll see, when I have my Selectric keycaps lying on my desk, they look something like this:
Buuuut, when they are on my beamspring, this thing completely fucks up and the keycaps are like this (it's the same with the original keycaps too):
Am I missing something? Is this desired and normal? I wonder which one of the profiles is the correct, or if even both are correct. For example, I can tell by the pictures that SA keycaps have the "type 1" profile, when my NMB keyboards clearly have the "type 2" one.
I also would be glad to hear about other profiles that you like. Thanks.
I need some help to clarify myself about keycap profiles

I'm also concerned about the bigger keycaps, like this one. Should be angled or flat? At least to me, the profile looks horrid in this thing.
