My Poker does not like PS/2 ports

using my KBC Poker via PS/2 gives me random sticky keys, mostly while playing QuakeLive (but at the console too, though rarely). eg, i press 'A' to strafe left and have to press 'A' again to stop strafing left (similar for WSD). the PS/2 port is perfectly fine, i've used it with another PS/2 keyboard for years and never had any issue.
using that Poker on an USB port is fine too (just figured that out, never tried USB before because I blamed the keyboard's controller): 1h of QuakeLive WASD action now and no single sticky key yet! I am still curious what's the going on here! any ideas?

Thanks ripster, looks like PS/2 issues are quite common. My specs:

GigaByte GA-870A-UD3
Issue appears independent of OS in use.
