Hello everyone and please apologize if this is not the right place for this post.

I recently --- and luckily --- acquired an IBM 5576-001 (Alps plate spring) keyboard. Unfortunately the keeb did not come with a cable and I have no clue where to find one. I have tried on ebay but found nothing. The connector looks similar to the Model M SDL but I am not sure if a Model M cable would work. I woud highly appreciate any information as I would really like to use it as my main driver.

Thanks!

The IBM 5576-001 uses a different pinout compared to an SDL connector and the connector is physically different as well. I also have been looking for this cable as well.

Thanks for the info. No one else can add anything to this? Has someone tried to build one maybe?

Also looking for a solution here… In theory I can remove the original plug and solder a PS/2 plug on, but I really want to preserve the original look of the keyboard.
Is it possible to modify a SDL cable to make it fit?

Y'all see https://www.ardent-tool.com/PS55/5576/#K/B%20plug and viewtopic.php?t=14875 ?

I'm a former 5576-001 owner. I wish you luck. I kinda liked the plate spring and I'd probably pick up another one if it's at the right price.
