This Cherry is sick, right? Can't remember ever seeing a thin PBT keycap set with 1.5u mods, especially given that Cherry made G80-3000H...M... doubleshot sets and thick lasered PBT WKL sets... (Why make a new mould for mods when it's clear they're being phased out?)

I am so glad I'm not the only one that has taken a liking to these weird lasered WKL boards haha, other people in the community have accused me of being dumb ! can you believe it ? bellends I say !

jokes aside, I recently picked up a G81-3000LPDUS with the exact same everything apart from the layout being obviously ANSI. It baffles me that Cherry produced winkeyless keyboards up until 2004, when Windows XP at that point had already been out for a few years by now! Definitely a cool piece of collection if you can get one for cheap, IMHO. I've actually been meaning to find some MX compatible modifiers (as mine features those weird wired stabs that are molded into the keycap itself) to put these caps on some of my customs. For curiosity and because monochrome keycaps look great!

Hmm.. This got me thinking...

Could winkeyless and winkeyful G81 keyboards have the same bottom plate and membrane
... and if so ... is that why the 1.25 bottom-row modifiers on G81 keyboards have offset stems?

Dumb? I think the word is "perverse"!

Too bad the mods are not compatible or I would have snatched this one up.
