Recently picked up a Focus FK9000, and I got an adapter for the AT -> Ps2, and then a Ps2 -> USB converter.
When I hook it up, the leds come on but I cant get it to type. Any way I can fix this?

Did you fix this? It's probably the converter. I have two identical-looking PS2 to USB converters, both new and cheap off ebay, and one works with almost everything, the other with almost nothing.

First make sure the switch is flipped to AT mode, then just plug it in and out a bunch of times, it will work eventually. I know these boards like the back of my hand and for some reason they are extremely picky when plugged in.
Also, remove the old battery if you haven't already, it works absolutely fine without but you won't have a ton of gross battery acid and corrosion everywhere.

I'm not sure whether or not I'm having exactly the same problem or not. When I plug mine in, it will either not do anything at all, or:
XT:
The leds will flash every clock cycle (I'm guessing that's what it is)
AT:
The LEDS will flash every time I type but nothing will be sent to my computer.
I have tried unpluging it and plugging it back in a few times, but it only those 2 states seem to occur. Should I just keep trying?

I had this problem on my 9000 when I turned the computer on with the calculator on (the locking KB/CAL switch pushed down). I only had the problem once or twice, and fixed it by putting the keyboard in keyboard mode and restarting the computer (was using over native PS/2). Not sure if that helps, as the electrical issues with these are numerous and varied. For reference, my board works and the calculator turns on but displays incorrectly and becomes faint when more than 4 characters are shown.
