Got it, thanks! The evolution of layouts and key functions is interesting stuff, to me at least. There's a lot of info in the old computer magazines, but unfortunately I donated most of mine to a resource center that's gone now. I lost interest when Win95 came out; I was just another user after that.

Actually the font looks more like Focus or Keymouse. Neat looking keyboard!

Ahh, well there seems to definitely be some lineage here. I agree it looks nice. I dont think it's worth $70 and I suspect the build quality is like wet cardboard, but it looks really tempting.

He has dirtier examples for $40 and everywhere inbetween... i still agree thats a bit high with the shipping.

Hmmm...check this one out--switch photo looks like MX, not buckling spring at all.

This is a Chicony 5181 I think. Can't read the FCC ID but the back label is very Chicony. Switches would then be Aristotle? Identity probably just rebranded a bunch of stuff.

Now that you say that I can "see" the Chicony model number clearly in the FCC code. Good call on that. I'm sure you're right about Identity Systems rebranding multiple keyboards. And giving them all the same model number, which means we have to identify them by physical features.
