I can at least see some rubber sleeves in the photo.

Big caps and vintage style mellow yellow LEDs like that, I'm guessing it's mechanical. The exposed cone on the top right corner key could be about sealing the insides.

Something happened to Z though…

Could also be foam and foil, the tactile version with a buckling rubber sleeve (now, depending on your definition of mechanical, one could argue, if I may so interject, with all due respect, shoot me ... )

Foam and foil isn't always the stinky kiss of death. Well, not always always…

Oh, I hear you! I was just trying to prevent myself from getting into a discussion of what is mechanical and what isn't.

Mechanical is stuff *I* like. Non-mechanical is stuff *I* don't. QED.

Quantum comes from quad electronica? Suddenly, it’s all starting to open up before my eyes and finally make sense to me…

It looks awesome, but would it work?
I have searched around and can't find much information on the specs.

definitely not foam & foil, but some bizarre switch made even more bizarre with a microswitch sd stem adapter which is attached to the top of the case. (which is broken off on the two switches with missing keycaps)

Honestly, not great. I think it's because the buckling sleeves have worn with age and use. Some keys are really mushy and slow to come back up. Most unfortunately the spacebar suffers from this on the right side. It's rather scratchy as well, even the tactility struggles to hide it. (and the board is actually quite clean)
Although I reckon if all the keys were in good shape and felt consistent, it wouldn't be too bad overall, but given the wear of the sleeves its pretty meh. It's almost unpredictable to type on.

The rubber sleeve came off the 1 key - and it's actually a really pleasantly smooth and light linear.. The only problem is that the sleeve keeps the key from wobbling. So it wobbles to the moon and back without it.. i wonder if there's a way to stabilize the key while keeping this linear form.. I'll experiment with it "one day" maybe.
