Help in compiling the ml67 firmware for the Filco Minila

Hello and thank you in advance for anyone who can help.

My Filco Minila died recently while trying to convert it to USB type C. After some digging around this forum, I came across a thread that reverse-engineered the layout and written firmware for TMK for the keyboard. Here is his Github link: https://github.com/jonhiggs/ml67

Problem is, I can't compile the firmware that is provided on this GitHub page by a user on that thread. I've tried different methods like using Cygnus and going to the Linux VM route. I was able to compile the other firmware that is on the tmk-keyboard-master folder but can't for the ml67 firmware. I've tried editing the makefile for it to no effect, only going as far as getting past the error in which the compiler can't find the TMK folder for rules.mk.

Can someone here with more experience with TMK help me with this problem? Or at least compile the firmware.
